A fully equipped home office will be presented at the special Smart Home
exhibition at the imm cologne from 15 to 21 January 2018.
Cologne, 8/1/2018. Featuring a complete Smart Home installation, the pioneering
exhibition organised by the »let’s be smart« network covers almost 1,000 square
metres and is located in Hall 4.2 (Pure Architects). Visitors can step inside and
experience products in action from over 30 manufacturers in a range of everyday
situations. Geared towards the different stages in life, the Smart Home showcases
an apartment designed for several family generations, a micro living apartment
and a fully equipped home office,
Work-life balance: Featuring solutions from a number of innovative
manufacturers, the cosy home office demonstrates how a modern and designoriented
work environment can be harmoniously integrated into any living space.
A high-quality kitchen made by Nolte forms the communicative centre, providing
an inviting place to cook, eat and chat informally and creating a stylish setting for
By combining integrated short throw projectors and high-end wireless audio
equipment with plug-and-play technology, mobile presentation furniture from
the Finnish startup Artome transforms the office into a fully-equipped meeting
room and platform for customer presentations.
Another innovative solution for creating flexible room concepts is the
»smartblock« – a moveable mini-meeting room for one to four people, complete
with lighting, sound and a presentation screen. In addition to comfortable
furniture, the »smartblock« impresses with its first-class acoustic qualities, making
it ideal for use at the point of sale, in open-plan offices or at events or trade fairs.
The smart components are complemented by innovative office furniture optimised
for flexible use and new media.
During a series of scheduled tours, visitors can see demonstrations of the Smart
Home’s functions and try them out for themselves.
The online portal www.letsbesmart.de provides reports on the solutions
developed by the »let’s be smart« network. It also includes an extensive media
library with product literature and practical examples from the Smart Home
exhibitions showing how the technology can be effectively used in our homes.
Established in 2015, »let’s be smart« is a network of manufacturers, service providers
and professional associations from a wide variety of industries. Its aim is to promote
innovative technology and the resulting benefits by showcasing practical examples of
how the products can be used in everyday life. The scope of cooperation ranges from
developing joint solutions and products through to marketing activities, exhibitions
and sales partnerships.
The network was initiated by RFID GmbH by Geschwister Flötotto and Koelnmesse.
