SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 23, 2024 - Slalom, an Italian company specializing in the production of sound-absorbing panels, presented "Living Lab" at Salone del Mobile 2024, a project designed by Studiolatte to showcase the sustainable and natural materials used in Slalom's products.

The Living Lab provided an immersive experience for visitors, highlighting the raw materials and manufacturing processes behind Slalom's acoustic panels.

A Sensory Journey Through Five Rooms

The Living Lab was designed as a sequence of five rooms, each with a unique color identity and featuring different textures and finishes from Slalom's wall-panel collection.

A central table, inspired by conveyor belts found in factories and laboratories, ran through each room, inviting visitors to interact with the materials and learn about their origins.

"These elements relate to the visitors playfully, inviting them to observe, touch, smell, and discover the origin and the essence of the company materials and giving life to a dynamic installation."

Chromatic Sets and Architectural Elements

Each room in the Living Lab was characterized by a specific color palette, creating a distinct atmosphere and highlighting the interplay of colors throughout the space.

Doors served as key architectural elements, separating and connecting the different environments while allowing visitors to appreciate the color combinations from various perspectives.

Sustainable Materials and Finishes

The Living Lab showcased a range of sustainable materials and finishes used in Slalom's acoustic panels, including Italian natural felt, PET plastic-based felt, and the new Woody and Bloom finishings.

The space emphasized the values of circularity and recyclability, reflecting Slalom's commitment to reducing environmental impact.
