SHERIDAN, WYOMING – May 2, 2025 – Motorsports fans and BMW enthusiasts alike have reason to celebrate: Samantha Tan, the rising star of endurance racing, is extending her role as BMW M Motorsport Global Ambassador through 2026. Known for her dynamic presence both on and off the track, the 27-year-old Asian-Canadian driver is set to continue inspiring the next generation of racers while blazing new trails with BMW.
Fueling Passion and Performance on a Global Stage
Samantha Tan’s renewed partnership with BMW will see her make high-profile appearances across North America, Europe, and Asia over the next two years. Already a fierce competitor in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, she’s been making waves behind the wheel of a BMW M4 GT3 in the GTDX class. With two wins and four podium finishes under her belt this season, Tan currently stands fourth in the overall GTDX championship and leads the Bronze Cup.
“I am incredibly honored to continue representing BMW M Motorsport as their Global Ambassador for 2025 and 2026,” said Tan. “BMW has played a pivotal role in my journey as a driver, and I’m proud to carry that legacy into new challenges this year—from racing in IMSA with the M4 GT3 to making my debut at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe with BMW Team WRT.”
All Eyes on Le Mans
This June, Samantha Tan is set to make a thrilling debut at the historic Circuit de la Sarthe. She’ll be representing BMW Team WRT in the iconic Road to Le Mans event, driving a BMW M4 GT3 EVO. Alongside teammate Gustav Bergstroem, she’ll compete in two 60-minute races that serve as a prelude to the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans.
This major milestone brings her closer to fulfilling a lifelong dream of racing in the prestigious endurance classic—an aspiration shared by many but achieved by few.
The Face of a New Racing Generation
Adam McGregor, BMW NA Motorsport and Customer Racing Manager, emphasized Tan’s impact on the brand and its fans: “From her days racing in the M2 to now competing in the M4 GT3, Sam has been an incredible asset to the BMW brand both on and off the track. Her talent behind the wheel of a BMW race car, constant positivity and huge smile are some of the many reasons Sam resonates so well with fans young and old.”
As co-owner of Samantha Tan (ST) Racing, she’s also breaking boundaries behind the scenes. The team, founded in 2017, has already built an impressive legacy:
- Back-to-back Pirelli World Challenge and GT4 America titles in 2019 and 2020
- Victory in the 2021 24H Series overall championship during their first international season
- A historic GT3-class win at the 2022 12H Mugello with the BMW M4 GT3
- Notable 2023 triumphs at GTWC Road America and GTWC 3H Barcelona
- A fierce GTWC America title battle taken to the wire in 2024

For BMW fans and motorsport followers, this partnership represents more than just wins on the track—it’s a story of perseverance, representation, and global ambition.
