Successful marketing for Eurobike 2022 – high international participation – exhibition grounds and hall plan taking shape
Friedrichshafen/Frankfurt – Boosted by increasing awareness of the on-trend topics of bikes, e-mobility, lightweight electric vehicles and the shift towards sustainable mobility, the leading industry trade show is shifting up a gear. Eurobike’s relocation from Lake Constance to Frankfurt am Main and subsequent fully relaunched concept with many new features is attracting considerable interest. “Registration and floor-space demand are at record levels – desire to take part in Eurobike 2022 is at the highest level, both nationally and internationally. The premiere in Frankfurt is going to be big on a new scale, even by Eurobike standards. With these excellent bookings, the exhibition ground and hall planning is taking concrete shape – and offering a diverse range of participation formats in new theme areas,” announces Stefan Reisinger, managing director fairnamic and Eurobike organiser. From 13 to 17 July 2022, Messe Frankfurt’s entire west section will be presenting over 100,000 m² of new bikes, innovative mobility solutions and sustainable transport concepts.
Right from the start of hall and stand planning, Eurobike’s organisers are delighted with the strong participation from the international bike industry. “Ninety per cent of Eurobike’s exhibition space is already booked – by existing customers and new customers. In addition, we see support for the new concept with the return of many players who have not exhibited for a few years. A large number of companies recognise the opportunity that we have with Eurobike 3.0 in Frankfurt to promote bikes, liveable cities and the transformation towards sustainable mobility. The new trade show concept and our expectations that Eurobike’s international standing would increase with the relocation, are proving correct. People trust in us and we are going to deliver,” says Stefan Reisinger.
In addition to the usual Bike, Parts and Accessories sections, the show organisers are also seeing particularly high demand for the area “The Future of Mobility”. The focus here is on lightweight electric vehicles, infrastructure providers, intermodality concepts, digitalisation, logistics and start-ups in the largest exhibition hall on the Frankfurt showgrounds with over 30,000 m². This is where Eurobike is presenting innovations and visions that go beyond the bike industry. Moreover, there are strategic alliances with the main industry partners and associations: Zweirad-Industrie-Verband (ZIV), the Verbund Service und Fahrrad e.V. (VSF), the Bundesverband Zukunft Fahrrad (BVZF), cargobike.jetzt, and purchasing associations, such as ZEG and BICO, the German federal state of Hesse and the city of Frankfurt.
New location: four major exhibition halls with six levels
In future, Eurobike will take place on a compact, modern trade show arena. The fairnamic joint venture between trade fair organisers Frankfurt and Friedrichshafen is using the entire western section of the showgrounds on the river Main to celebrate bikes and all their different facets in a perfect round circuit over some 100,000 m² of exhibition area. This includes exhibition halls 8 and 9, and the new halls 11 and 12, which both have two levels. True to the motto: “The fastest and simplest mode of urban transport from the city to the show has to be the bike,” there is secure bike parking for exhibitors and visitors directly on the showgrounds. The three entrance areas ‘Torhaus’, ‘Galleria’ and ‘Portalhaus’ will ensure an even flow of visitors from all sides. “For this, the 30th edition of Eurobike, we have a befitting infrastructure ready to get the industry to and from this leading international trade show,” explains show director Dirk Heidrich. In and around the halls, Eurobike will naturally have a wide range of action areas, catering options and outdoor test circuits.
