Poland is one of the leading producers of agricultural crops and food products in the European Union and the world. Our food  is high quality, safe, natural and delicious.

MEAT- POULTRY, BEEF, PORK

Poland has a rich tradition in the production of poultry, beef and pork. Since 2014, Poland has been the largest producer of poultry meat in the EU. Polish meat is appreciated around the world due to its high quality and excellent culinary properties. In order to guarantee the highest quality, a significant proportion of production is carried out under the national quality systems such as the Pork Quality System (PQS), Quality Assurance for Food Products (QAFP) and Quality Meat Program (QMP). Poland is also well-known for the production of traditional cold meats - sausages (including kabanos sausages), ham, smoked pork loins, ba­con and pates.

MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS

The Polish dairy industry is equipped with a world-class technology park. Cheeses and curds are the most important export commodity. Poland is sixth largest producer of cheeses and curds in the world and the fifth largest in the EU.

FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

Apples are one of the most popular export com­modities from Poland. The Polish horticultural and vegetable production is a base for the do­mestic processing industry. Some of its most important products include concentrated apple juice and high-quality fruit and vegetable juices. Poland is also a leading European producer of frozen fruit and vegetables.

GRAIN MILL PRODUCTS

In addition to traditional products, the Polish baking industry offers bread with an extended shelf life, toast bread and crispbread, hamburger and hot-dog buns, as well as special semi-finished products for home baking, deep­-frozen bread for the food service sector, and more. Polish pastas are also sought all over the world.

HONEY

Poland is the sixth largest producer of honey in the European Union. Honey originating in Poland is one of nature's most precious gifts. lt comes in a range of varieties with distinct ta­stes and health qualities. Owing to its unique properties, Polish honey is becoming more and more popular on foreign markets.

CHOCOLATEPRODUCTS AND CONFECTIONERY

Poland is a European leader in the production of chocolate products. Confectionery produced in Poland delights consumers with a wide range of types and flavours. Polish confectionery products are present in more than 140 countries worldwide.

ORGANIC FOOD

Poland is a growing producer of organic food in the European Union and globally. The total surface of agricultural areas used for organic farming amounts to 500 thousand ha in Poland (data for the year 2019), which ranks Poland 9th among the EU Member States and 19th in the world. The largest surface of agricultural land used for organic farming is taken up by cereal crops – over 12 thousand hectares, which ranks Poland 9th globally in this category. Poland takes 7th place in the EU in terms of the number of registered organic farmers. In 2019, there were over 20 thousand organic business operators in Poland. Agricultural producers were the largest group counting over 18 thousand farmers.

The National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) is a Polish governmental agency, supervised by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. The KOWR is the main institution implementing promotion measures in the agri-food sector in Poland.

Our goal is to support Polish producers and exporters of food and to build a positive image and brand awareness of Polish food abroad under the ‘POLAND TASTES GOOD’ brand.

The ‘POLAND TASTES GOOD’ brand conveys a message that Polish food products are of excellent flavour and the highest quality and corresponds with the growing demand for healthy food produced with care for the environment, on the basis of traditional technologi es and methods.

The National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) is a Polish governmental agency, supervised by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. The KOWR is the main institution implementing promotion measures in the agri-food sector in Poland. A strong brand of Polish food products is built under a common slogan: “Polska tastes good”. Building a positive image and recognition of Polish food abroad under the “POLAND TASTES GOOD” brand is one of the main tasks of the National Center for Agricultural Support. The “POLAND TASTES GOOD” brand is a guarantee of taste and a synonym for Polish food products of the highest quality, as well as a response to the growing demand for healthy food, produced in accordance with the natural environment, based on traditional technologies and production methods.
