Cologne, 6 April 2023 - insureNXT 2023, which will take place on 26 and 27 April in Cologne, will show many innovative projects, business models and technologies. More than 170 top speakers and around 170 partners and exhibitors will present themselves at the congress trade fair for innovation in the insurance economy. The focus is on the fields of Business Transformation, Customer Centricity, Digital Ecosystems and Digital Economy with a variety of contributions revolving around themes like digitalisation, sustainability, new customer target groups and modern sales approaches in the physical and digital world. In addition to the conference programme with high quality participants on a total of three stages, visitors can look forward to many well-known insurers, a broad range of start-ups and exciting side events and master classes. The insureNXT Innovators Awards will also be presented for the second time. Following the successful physical premiere of insureNXT last year, the congress trade fair will once again gather the "who's who" of the insurance economy in Cologne on 26 and 27 April. 170 national and international top speakers will present and discuss innovations and important current developments in the industry on three stages. Around 170 companies and partners are participating in the conference and exhibition this year. What is the significance of sustainability for the industry? How are artificial intelligence and digital ecosystems influencing the insurance economy? And how must insurers change in order to react to the various needs of customers? These are only some of the questions that will be discussed in the Congress Centre North of Koelnmesse. The conference trade fair opens with a keynote by Dr Norbert Rollinger. The chairman of the management board of R+V Versicherung and the new president of the German Insurance Association (GDV) will speak on 26 April about "Business Transformation: Culture and Skill Transformation of the Insurance Industry". Here, the focus is primarily on the role of young companies, of InsurTechs and start-ups in assuring the future of the insurance industry. Other top speakers of the conference include Dr Sylvia Eichelberg (CEO Gothaer Krankenversicherung), Dr Christian Kinder (Partner Bain & Company), Jonathan Larsen (CIO Ping An Group), Thomas Lüer (CMO HDI Deutschland), Carsten Maschmeyer (CEO Maschmeyer Group), Jürgen Sprang (CEO Insurfox), Sabine VanderLinden (CEO Alchemy Crew) and Prof. Christiane Woopen (University of Bonn).
Focus on mobility with Baloise, Neodigital/HUK Coburg and Porsche/HDI Concrete examples of cooperative ventures between classic insurers and InsurTechs or a cross-industry partnership will be presented at insureNXT in the Mobility section. Thus, for example, Baloise Deutschland presents its ecosystem strategy, in which mobility plays an important role. Neodigital will present a new joint venture with HUK Coburg on the first congress day that demonstrates how InsurTechs and established market leaders conceive of and live fully digitalised insurance products. On the second day of the congress, HDI and Porsche will for the first time explain their joint, recently initiated telematics tariff, which they offer from one source on the basis of a consistently deliberate customer centricity. Cooperative ventures are also an important theme in other areas: Deutsche Bank, for example, will show how the banking sector and insurance companies (Bancassurance) can work together in a best practice example together with the mobile phone and electronics insurer Friendsurance. Customer Centricity, Influencer Marketing and Recruiting In keeping with the focus theme of Customer Centricity, insureNXT 2023 pays special attention to Gen Z. Insurers and experts in influencer marketing will meet in the context of a panel on the Center Stage on 27 April: Stefan Schumacher from Territory Influence and the finance influencer and entrepreneur Hava Misimi (Femance Finanzen) will discuss the needs and methods for addressing the next generation of customers with Udo Wilcsek (Chairman Alte Leipziger Hallesche) and Andrea van Aubel, the new chairwoman of the IT experts from msg. The important industry theme of "Young Talent and Recruiting” is also prominently represented: strategies for the implementation of Employer Branding and New Work will be presented on the first trade fair day by Hays on the Center Stage and discussed in a roundtable. Additional rounds of discussion will be dedicated to sustainability, for example, the "Sustainability - Climate Change and Social Impact" panel, incl. Thomas Lanfermann, Head of Digital Sales & Marketing at Helvetia, and Prof. Alexander Braun, Director of the Institute of Insurance Economics at the University of St. Gallen. A visible memorial to sustainable conduct can be seen directly at Entrance North of Koelnmesse. The electronics insurer Wertgarantie is erecting the Wertgiganten (Value Giant), a six metre high sculpture weighing several tons, comprised of electronic waste of the action artist HA Schult. It symbolically represents the quantity of electronic trash that German households produce in only 72 seconds and should set a clear example against the throwaway culture of today's consumer society.
Here, accents for sustainable consumption or a circular economy will be set with approaches like "repair instead of throwing out", to which insurers can also make a contribution. insureNXT Innovators Award and Insurance Innovation Challenge The highlight of the trade fair is the Insurance Innovation Challenge, a young talent competition for the development of new insurance solutions from project cologne and InsurLab Germany e.V.. Student founder teams should creatively solve concrete tasks from local companies and develop their first start-up ideas. The kickoff for the challenge takes place on 27 April on the Trendzone stage of insureNXT. On the evening of the first day of the congress, the insureNXT Innovator Awards will already be presented on the Center Stage for the second time in a total of five categories, plus a public prize. This will be followed by the aftershow party of insureNXT on the Rheinterassen. Holders of a two-day ticket can register. Should capacity allow, others will also receive party tickets.
