Attack Shark R5 Turbo: 43g Wireless Mouse With 8K Polling

New York – October 19, 2026 -- Attack Shark's R5 Turbo, a 43g wireless gaming mouse with 8KHz polling over both wired and wireless connections, goes on sale October 23, 2026, in black, white and a new Dune colorway.

A carbon fiber shell weighing about 43g

The housing is injection-molded carbon fiber composite with a hollowed-out, breathable design. Weight is approximately 43g (± 3g). A glass-like cool-touch coating is meant to reduce stickiness from hand sweat during long sessions.

A PixArt sensor tracks up to 750 IPS

The PixArt PAW3950MAX optical sensor covers 1,200-60,000 DPI in 50-DPI steps. It tracks at up to 750 IPS with 60G acceleration. A three-level lift-off distance setting lets players adjust tracking height to their preference.

A new Nordic chip cuts wireless click latency to 0.168ms

The mouse moves to the Nordic nRF54LM20 MCU, replacing the nRF54L15 in the previous generation. Attack Shark's internal testing showed wireless click latency as low as 0.168ms. In competitive mode, the chip supports static scan frame rates above 20,000 FPS, with better power efficiency and less heat. Bluetooth channel sounding is meant to improve connection stability.

The shark-fin-shaped 8K receiver has an extended antenna for stronger signal. Three LED indicators show connection mode, polling rate and battery life. The mouse connects by wire, 2.4GHz wireless or Bluetooth.

A 290mAh battery lasts up to 300 hours

The automotive-grade 290mAh battery delivers up to 300 hours at a standard 1K polling rate, according to the company.

Omron switches are rated for 100 million clicks

Omron optical switches handle the clicks. The scroll wheel has a custom electroplated finish and TTC Golden Wheel encoders for tactile feedback.

The driver software offers cloud-based configuration and a standalone download. It automatically recognizes connected devices and adjusts DPI, polling rate and other supported settings.

The R5 Turbo follows the R5 Ultra. It is sold through Attack Shark's Amazon Stores in the US, UK, Europe, Australia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Japan.
