Irvine – October 13, 2026 -- HI-CHEW is taking a haunted-manor trunk-or-treat experience to five US cities this October, with free candy, games and a mystery flavor that will only be revealed on Halloween Day.
The Mystery Manor Tour is built around the returning HI-CHEW Halloween Mystery Mix. The assortment includes three familiar flavors, Green Apple, Orange Creamsicle and Cotton Candy, plus one new flavor the brand is keeping secret.
Visitors walk through a graveyard of candy-flavored props
Guests enter through a graveyard with Orange Creamsicle tombstones, wispy Cotton Candy trees and glowing Green Apple jack-o'-lanterns. At the door, the brand's mascot Chewbie appears as FrankenChewbie, dressed in a Frankenstein's Monster-inspired costume and handing out treats.
Inside FrankenChewbie's Manor, fans play flavor detective
Inside, guests find hidden clues and interactive games designed to help them crack the code behind the mystery flavor. Exclusive HI-CHEW merchandise will be available only during the tour, and a graveyard backdrop with FrankenChewbie is set up for photos.
Even the company's US chief is guessing. Teruhiro Kawabe, President and CEO of Morinaga America, Inc., said he doesn't know the new flavor either.
The tour makes five stops between October 17 and October 31
- Austin: Saturday, October 17, at the University of Texas Longhorns vs. Florida Gators football game, 2139 San Jacinto Blvd. Open 6:00am to 11:00am CT.
- Nashville: Tuesday, October 20, at 5th & Broadway, 5036 Broadway. Open 12:00pm to 10:00pm CT.
- Chicago: Saturday, October 24, at Navy Pier, 600 E Grand Ave. Open 12:00pm to 8:00pm CT.
- Philadelphia: Thursday, October 29, at Drexel University, 33rd & Market Streets. Open 12:00pm to 8:00pm ET.
- Hoboken: Saturday, October 31, at the Hoboken Ragamuffin Parade, 5th Street & Washington Street. Open 12:00pm to 5:00pm ET.
Each stop offers a local backdrop, a chance to sample HI-CHEW and a look inside the manor.
