Seattle – October 12, 2026 -- Nordstrom is rolling out its 2026 holiday season with a David Bowie collaboration, FAO Schwarz toy shops, a new in-store app mode and same-day beauty delivery in more than 15 markets starting this month.
FAO Schwarz toys arrive in Nordstrom stores
Nordstrom is partnering with FAO Schwarz on a toy selection. Shoppers can find it at FAO Schwarz's second Manhattan location inside the Nordstrom NYC Flagship. New jewel box locations are opening in Aventura, Bellevue, Brea Mall, Fashion Valley, Garden State Plaza, NorthPark, Oakbrook and South Coast Plaza. The selection is also available online, and a special curation will sit in every Nordstrom store. Brands include Jellycat, Lego, Barbie and Hot Wheels.
The holiday catalog returns with more than a thousand gifts. To mark Nordstrom's 125th anniversary, the character Nordy has been reimagined and joined by a new sidekick named Disco.
Bowie80 shops open in November
To honor David Bowie's 80th birthday year, Nordstrom is working with his estate on Bowie80. Immersive shops will open at the Chicago, NYC and Seattle flagships and on Nordstrom.com starting in November. They will carry exclusive and limited-edition collections from AllSaints, Barbour, Marc Jacobs, Paul Smith, Susan Alexandra, Undercover Jun Takahashi and others.
Bowie's "Let's Dance" also soundtracks the season's streaming TV campaign, which is set in a living room stage for a holiday gathering.
The Nordstrom app adds In Store mode and AI styling
The new In Store mode includes an interactive map of departments and holiday gift shops. A single scan speeds up order pickup, checkout and returns, with one-tap payment using a Nordstrom card. Nordy Club members can also reach their Notes and benefits there.
The AI-powered Request a Look feature asks a few quick prompts and returns personalized recommendations. Shoppers can also connect with a stylist through the app.
Gift Edit adds expert commentary on top gifts, and improved filters include delivery speed. Nordy Club members get free one-to-two-day shipping. In-store pickup runs on a four-hour window.

Nordy pins aim to raise $1.7 million for Shoes That Fit
Nordstrom has partnered with the nonprofit Shoes That Fit since 2010. Together with customers, it has raised more than $10 million and helped provide over 500,000 pairs of athletic shoes for children in need. This year's goal is another $1.7 million. Holiday edition Nordy enamel pins go on sale in all stores November 1, with net proceeds benefiting the charity.
Santa photos are free for cardmembers
Santa returns to all Nordstrom stores, and photos are free for Nordstrom cardmembers. Holiday Breakfasts feature appearances by Santa and Nordy. Nordy Club members get a schedule of events that includes Glam-Up Days and Beauty Bashes.
