Iron Ridge, Wis. – September 18, 2026 -- PS Seasoning has launched four new meat processing kits aimed at home cooks who want to make sausage, bacon or jerky without guessing on ingredients or ratios. The lineup includes a Fresh Italian Sausage Kit, Pepperoni Snack Stick Kit, Smoked Maple Bacon Kit and Jerky Kit - Candied Jalapeño, each with pre-portioned seasoning and step-by-step instructions.
Kits target the sourcing and measuring hurdles that stop beginners
The Fresh Italian Sausage Kit costs $24.99 and includes black pepper, fennel, crushed red chili, garlic and natural hog casings for a 25-pound batch. The Pepperoni Snack Stick Kit, priced at $29.99, comes with pepperoni seasoning, cure and 21mm collagen casings for a 25-pound batch of beef-and-pork or venison-and-pork sticks.
The Smoked Maple Bacon Kit costs $11.99 and provides maple seasoning and cure for pork belly, which cures for roughly seven to 10 days before smoking, yielding 25 pounds. The Jerky Kit - Candied Jalapeño, also $11.99, pairs jalapeño with real honey for a sweet-heat glaze on beef or wild game, making a 15-pound batch.
Protein demand is rising among American shoppers
Citing The Power of Meat 2026 report from FMI and the Meat Institute, PS Seasoning noted that protein has grown in importance for 42 percent of Americans, and 45 percent of shoppers say they are actively trying to prepare more meals with meat or poultry.
Stephanie Neu, a Master Meat Crafter at PS Seasoning, said starting with the right ingredients, measurements and instructions makes the difference for beginners, adding that once people understand the fundamentals, they can experiment with different proteins and techniques.
All four kits can be adapted for wild game ahead of hunting season
With fall hunting season approaching, the company said hunters can use any of the four kits to process a harvest into sausage, snack sticks, jerky or bacon at home.
PS Seasoning also introduced a free Meat Block Calculator that lets home processors select a seasoning, enter a raw meat weight, and receive exact measurements for seasoning, cure and water in pounds, ounces or grams. The four new kits bring the company's home processing lineup to 27 total kits.
The kits went on sale September 15 at psseasoning.com/processing-kits and select retailers.
