Omaha – September 15, 2026 -- Slim Jim, the meat snack brand owned by Conagra Brands, Inc. (NYSE: CAG), has officially set a Guinness World Records title for the World's Longest Meat Snack Stick, unveiling a 429-foot-5-inch creation at the company's Omaha campus.
The record-setting snack measured 143 yards -- longer than a football field -- and weighed nearly 70 pounds. A Guinness World Records adjudicator was on site to certify the achievement.
The new record smashes the previous mark by more than 100 feet
The giant Slim Jim surpassed the former record holder, a 314-foot meat stick unveiled in 2023, by over 115 feet.
Eleven employees spent months building the oversized snack
Work on the project began in June 2025, when a team of 11 Conagra Brands employees was tasked with scaling up the classic Slim Jim recipe while preserving its signature snap.
"The record-breaking Slim Jim is a testament to the creativity, expertise and dedication of our team," said Jess Sweley, Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Conagra Brands.
Juan Amadaor, VP/GM for Slim Jim, said the brand wanted to create something "bigger and bolder than anything the world has ever seen," adding that he wished members of the brand's fan community, dubbed the "Long Boi Gang," could have joined the celebration in Omaha.
Employees celebrated with bites of the record-breaking snack
Once the record was confirmed, Conagra Brands team members were invited to take celebratory bites of the massive meat stick.
A smaller, cheese-filled Slim Jim is now on shelves
For everyday snacking, Slim Jim has also launched Cheese Mode, its first-ever stick featuring real cheese inside, available in Cheddar and Cheddar & Jalapeño flavors and delivering 10 grams of protein per stick.
