Latitude Opens Great Neck Food Allergy Clinic on Long Island

Great Neck – November 03, 2026 -- Long Island families can now book food allergy care in Great Neck, where Latitude Food Allergy Care has opened its fourth New York-area clinic at 935 Northern Blvd., Suite 303-B. Appointments are available now.

Two board-certified allergists, both formerly of NYU Langone, lead the clinic

Dr. Amanda Schneider and Dr. Erin Banta, both board-certified allergists and immunologists, run the site. Schneider spent the last decade at NYU Langone Health, where she helped lead oral immunotherapy (OIT) treatment in Manhattan. She has been a co-investigator on more than a dozen allergy and immunology studies, with published research on biologic treatments and early egg introduction.

Banta brings more than 15 years of experience in the New York City region. She previously practiced at NYU Langone Long Island, where she also trained future allergists, and she serves as vice president of the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society.

The Great Neck clinic treats patients from infants to adults

Services include skin testing, in-office blood draws, oral food challenges, early food introduction for infants, and OIT for single or multiple allergens. The clinic also offers Xolair (omalizumab), an injectable biologic that can be used on its own or alongside OIT.

Latitude reports a 94 percent OIT completion rate across its network

According to Latitude, 94 percent of patients who start OIT complete treatment and can safely eat foods they once had to avoid. For children under 4, that rate rises to 98 percent.

Founders built the clinic to feel welcoming, not clinical

Latitude co-founder and CEO Kimberley Yates, who started the company as a food allergy mom, says the experience should feel "welcoming, not clinical." Kids play while parents swap stories with other families. Yates says demand for this kind of care keeps growing across New York.

Schneider says the new setting lets her take the time each family needs, from the first conversation about their history through every step of treatment.

The clinic serves Nassau County and Queens and accepts select PPO and EPO plans

Latitude is in-network with select PPO and EPO plans in New York. The Great Neck clinic joins Latitude's existing locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and White Plains.
