Mito Health Hits 1 Million Lab Tests, Adds Cancer Screening and MRI

San Francisco – September 07, 2026 -- Mito Health has run more than one million lab tests and expanded its direct-to-consumer diagnostics marketplace into seven categories of preventive testing, letting customers order bloodwork, imaging, and genetic screening without insurance, a doctor's referral, or a surprise bill.

The company built its first two years around 100-plus-biomarker longevity panels sold directly to consumers. Its catalog now covers fertility planning, strength and body composition testing, chronic disease baseline markers, nutrient and heavy-metal screening, inherited disease risk, and tuberculosis testing required for school enrollment.

The catalog now spans more than 1,000 individual lab tests

Mito Health offers lab panels ranging from single markers to 180-plus biomarker tests, at-home kits shipped to all 50 states, and at-home blood draws available in 35 states. The company has also added DEXA body composition scans and whole-body MRI, with coronary artery calcium scoring and VO2 max testing scheduled to follow.

New offerings include whole genome sequencing at 3x and 30x coverage, gut microbiome analysis, H. pylori breath testing, and multi-cancer early detection through liquid biopsy. Supplements and prescriptions are planned for the same at-cost pricing model.

A $9 monthly membership replaces markups on individual tests

Customers can walk into partner draw sites nationwide or schedule an at-home blood draw in the 35 states where that service is available. Mito Health prices diagnostics at cost, funding the business through a $9 per month membership instead of markups, upsells, or commissions. The company accepts HSA and FSA funds for payment.

Rhonda Collins, FNP-C, who supports clinical operations at Mito Health, said customers rarely need just one kind of test -- someone researching fertility or family history often needs bloodwork, imaging, and genetics together. Kenneth Lou, co-founder and CEO of Mito Health, said the flat membership fee means the company earns the same regardless of how much a customer buys, which he said allows staff to tell customers that testing less is often the more useful advice.
