Rochester Hills – September 17, 2026 -- Daia Orthodontics & TMJ Orthopedics, based in Rochester Hills, Michigan, has acquired four orthodontic clinics in Canada's Maritime provinces, expanding its patient network to five total locations.
The deal covers clinics in Grand Falls and Woodstock, New Brunswick, and Charlottetown and Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
The four sites, formerly operating under the docbraces brand, will keep their existing clinical and administrative staff. Founder Dr. Hadi Daia has treated patients at these locations since 2021, building relationships with local doctors and families before the acquisition.
Dr. Daia holds credentials on both sides of the border.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and the American Board of Orofacial Pain, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. "The Maritimes have a strong tradition of community-focused healthcare, and we are honored to become part of these communities," Daia said, adding that his goal is to support clinicians while giving patients access to comprehensive TMD, Orofacial Pain and TMJ Orthopedics care rather than simply grow practice count.
The practice frames orthodontics as more than cosmetic dental work.
Daia describes his approach as addressing the relationship between teeth, jaws, muscles, posture, airways and overall function, with individualized treatment plans for each patient. The expansion creates five total locations across the two countries, opening new collaboration opportunities among orthodontists and specialists on both sides of the border.
