Dr. Verena Haselmann of the University Medical Centre Mannheim will discuss recent progress, new opportunities like wearables, and challenges such as quality requirements and the shortage of skilled personnel. The forum will also explore personalized therapy, integrated diagnostics, and the use of artificial intelligence.  

Day 4: Healthy Ageing

The final day will focus on diagnostic research and new applications in laboratory medicine. Experts will discuss research on aging, including the biological clock, neurodegenerative diseases, and the role of gut microbiota. The afternoon session will explore strategies to slow the aging process, featuring presentations on anti-aging drugs, anti-inflammatory agents, and the influence of the environment on aging.
