SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 30, 2024 – The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion showcased Taiwan's leading medical innovations and cutting-edge solutions at Medical Fair Asia 2024, held at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre from September 11th to 13th.
Taiwan's Strong Presence at Medical Fair Asia 2024
Taiwan's representation at the event was significant, with about 90 companies participating in three separate Taiwan pavilions: Taiwan Excellence Pavilion, Taiwan Pavilion, and TMBIA Pavilion.
Themed "Shaping the Future with Taiwan's MedTech Innovation," the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion focused on three key aspects of Taiwan's medtech innovations: Diagnostic Innovations, Treatment Innovations, and Innovations in Telemedicine and Digital Health Platforms.

The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion provided a platform for 16 leading Taiwanese companies to connect with trading and medical technology partners in the region. Their goal was to help people lead longer, healthier lives through innovative technology.
The pavilion kicked off with the Taiwan Excellence Medical Industry Talk on September 11th, 2024, where companies like Acer Medical Inc., V5med Inc., Shennona Co. Ltd, Brain Navi Biotechnology Co., Ltd, and A Plus Biotechnology Co. Ltd. introduced their products and services and discussed MedTech trends in Taiwan.
Taiwan: A Frontrunner in Medical Device Innovation
Ms. Anna Wu, Director of Taiwan Trade Center Singapore (TAITRA), highlighted Taiwan's leading role in medical device innovation, emphasizing its breakthroughs in patient care and healthcare transformation.
Taiwan's expertise in the semiconductor industry has been successfully applied to the medical field, resulting in advanced medical devices and solutions.
Mr. Daniel Lee, Chairman of the Taiwan Medical and Biotech Industry Association, provided an overview of Taiwan's MedTech industry development. He highlighted the opportunities for Taiwan and Singapore to collaborate in smart healthcare, including technology transfer, research and development, and joint promotion of medical innovations.
Taiwan Excellence's Participation in Medical Fair Asia
Through its participation in Medical Fair Asia, Taiwan Excellence aims to strengthen the ties between Singapore and Taiwan, particularly in the medical industry.
In 2023, two-way trade between Singapore and Taiwan was valued at US$39.2 billion, with Taiwan's exports to Singapore reaching US$29.7 billion, making Singapore Taiwan's fifth-largest export market.
Ms. Wu emphasized Taiwan's collaborative ecosystem, where partnerships between academia, industry, and medical institutions drive research and development in medical device innovation.
Mr. Allen Lien, Chairman and CEO of Acer Medical Inc., expressed gratitude for the platform provided by Taiwan Excellence to showcase their smart healthcare products. He highlighted the opportunity to connect with target customers and expand into new regions.
Medical Fair Asia 2024 and the Asian MedTech Market
Medical Fair Asia 2024 attracted approximately 1,000 exhibitors from 45 countries and regions, 19 country pavilions, and 14,000 registered visitors over the three-day event.
The Asian MedTech market is predicted to overtake the EU as the second-largest market globally, according to the Singapore Economic Development Board.
Singapore's strategic location and resources provide a platform for Taiwanese innovators to enter the international MedTech market.
