Hisense Unveils AI-Powered 'Companion Living' Concept at IFA 2026

Berlin – September 08, 2026 -- Hisense has introduced its "Companion Living" concept at IFA 2026 in Berlin, built around a new AI platform called V AIOS and a companion suite of smart appliances designed to handle cooking, laundry, and home air and energy management.

V AIOS forms the brain behind the connected home

V AIOS, an evolution of the company's VIDAA operating system, is built on four AI capabilities: perceiving, reasoning, communicating, and acting. The system is designed to recognize people, devices, and surroundings, understand context and intent, and coordinate content and services across devices on a user's behalf.

The AI Companion Suite targets three daily routines

The suite applies this intelligence to cooking, laundry, and air/energy control. In the kitchen, connected appliances are meant to detect taste preferences, available ingredients, and context, then coordinate the refrigerator, oven, and other devices to suggest meals and guide users through preparation based on what's already stored.

For laundry, the same AI layer is designed to identify fabric types and automatically match washing and drying settings to how each garment should be treated, removing manual guesswork.

The UR9 model manages home comfort and energy use

In the living space, Hisense's UR9 model is positioned as a gateway for the connected home, combining comfort features with energy management and adjusting airflow and environmental settings based on occupants and real-time conditions.

Hisense extends its UEFA partnership through Euro 2028

Beyond home technology, Hisense confirmed a partnership with UEFA EURO 2028, marking its fourth consecutive European Championship sponsorship following tournaments in 2016, 2020, and 2024.
