Three ways to buy under one new name
Costikyan Inc. announced Costikyan Custom Carpet in its 140th anniversary year. The company says the launch returns it to its roots as a source of fine rugs and carpets.
Clients can choose from three routes: a handmade rug already in stock, broadloom cut and finished to fit a space, or a custom design developed with the company's team.
An 1886 import business, now in its fifth generation
The company began as Costikyan Freres, founded by S. Kent Costikyan to bring fine Oriental and antique rugs to American buyers. Five generations have carried that heritage forward, and it still guides how the company selects products.
For a century, Costikyan has offered handmade rugs, fully custom rugs and broadloom. The company says its knowledge of client preferences shapes a collection chosen for quality, design and suitability for each space.
CEO Greg Garian said the company's history gives it "the judgment to be selective about what we offer."
