Mainz – September 12, 2026 -- German public broadcaster ZDF has confirmed a series of last-minute schedule swaps affecting its documentary lineup over the coming weeks, replacing several previously announced titles with different films at the same air times.
Terra X episodes get bumped for other documentaries
On Thursday, September 24, the 7:45 a.m. slot will air "Raubbau auf den Philippinen" (USA, 2024) instead of the planned "Terra X Harald Lesch: Der Wald - Wunderwelt im Wandel," with the rest of the day's schedule continuing as originally planned from 8:15 a.m.
On Friday, September 25, "Terra X: Albrecht Dürer - Superstar" (Germany, 2019) will replace "Terra X: Gustave Eiffel: Der Mann, der den Eiffelturm erfand" at 2:45 a.m., with programming resuming as scheduled from 3:45 a.m.
Changes stretch into early October
The following week, on Monday, September 28, "Wer ist El Chapo?" (Germany, 2023) will air at 6:30 a.m. in place of "Ermittler! - Unheilvolle Begegnung."
On Saturday, October 3, "Terra X Harald Lesch: Der Wald - Wunderwelt im Wandel" (Germany, 2026) shifts into the 3:45 a.m. slot, displacing "Terra X: Extreme der Tiefsee - Eisige Abgründe," with the rest of the day proceeding as planned from 4:15 a.m.
A day later, on Sunday, October 4, "Pakt der Diktatoren: Wie Hitler und Stalin den Weg in den Krieg planten" (Germany, 2020) will run at 10:30 a.m. instead of a "Terra X History" episode on reporters in Hitler's war.
An earlier change was also confirmed for late August
ZDF had already adjusted its Sunday, August 30 schedule, airing "Die sieben großen Rätsel der Menschheit" (Germany, 2023) at 5:00 a.m. in place of "Terra X: Sternstunden der Steinzeit."
