New App Feature Helps GLP-1 Patients Track Habits for Insurance

Boston – September 17, 2026 -- Menu-Order AI has launched Daily GLP-1 Habits, a feature that lets users log meals, macros, steps and behavior changes tied to GLP-1 weight-loss medications, expanding the app beyond its original restaurant-menu tool.

The feature was built with Founding Medical Advisor Dr. Leigh-Anne Dale and arrives as federal GLP-1 coverage expands. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services opened its Medicare GLP-1 Bridge on July 1, 2026, giving eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries access to certain GLP-1 drugs, alongside its BALANCE model pairing medication access with lifestyle support for Medicaid recipients. In December 2025, the World Health Organization issued its first global guideline on GLP-1 therapies, recommending the drugs be paired with diet, physical activity and structured behavioral support.

Insurers increasingly require documented lifestyle changes before covering GLP-1 drugs

A growing number of health plans require patients to participate in and document a lifestyle or behavior-change program before or during GLP-1 coverage. Insurers and pharmacy benefit managers often cite missing documentation of prior lifestyle intervention as grounds for denying coverage requests.

The app generates a monthly report that stays on the user's phone

Menu-Order AI users scan restaurant menus to receive three personalized higher-protein, lower-carbohydrate options, and can log meals, track macros, and sync steps through Apple Health on iOS. Daily GLP-1 Habits adds tracking for nutrition, movement, mindful-eating and medication-support habits, and can generate a monthly participation report for a healthcare provider. The report remains on the user's device; Menu-Order AI does not send, store or transmit it.

"A prescription is only one part of the GLP-1 journey,
