2027 Lexus TX: $58,890 Start, Hybrid Stays, Plug-In Goes

Plano – October 16, 2026 -- The 2027 Lexus TX three-row SUV starts at $58,890 (including DPH), offers 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, and comes with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 as standard on every model.

The plug-in hybrid is dropped, and little else changes

The TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid is discontinued for the 2027 model year. Matador Red Mica returns as an exterior color for non-F SPORT models after debuting on them for 2026. The TX 350 gets revised vacuum brake booster tuning and brake hold feature. The TX 500h now wears "AWD" badges instead of the "DIRECT4" badges used for 2026.

The TX 350 Premium's 20-inch aluminum wheels adopt a darker gray finish, and red-painted brake calipers are a new option on F SPORT grades.

The TX 350 delivers 275 horsepower from a turbo four

The gas TX 350 uses a 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 that makes 275 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. It is paired with an eight-speed Direct Shift automatic and comes in front- or all-wheel drive. The available full-time AWD system varies front-to-rear force from 75:25 to 50:50. The TX 350 is offered on Standard, Premium, F SPORT Handling, and Luxury grades.

The TX 500h hybrid produces 366 horsepower

The TX 500h pairs a 2.4L turbocharged parallel hybrid system with a six-speed automatic, delivering 366 total system horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque. A 64-kW motor works with a 76-kW rear eAxle, and the nickel-metal hydride battery sits beneath the second row. It is AWD only and sold exclusively as F SPORT Performance Premium or F SPORT Performance Luxury.

The GA-K platform shapes the ride

The TX shares the GA-K platform with the RX and NX. Lexus added body adhesives, short pitch spot welding, a rear multi-link suspension, and widened front and rear tracks. The hood and front fenders are aluminum, while the back door is steel.

Adaptive suspension and rear steering target handling

Adaptive Variable Suspension is standard on F SPORT Handling and F SPORT Performance grades. It adjusts damping at all four wheels based on driving and road conditions. Dynamic Rear Steering, standard on F SPORT Performance, turns the rear wheels in the same direction as the front at higher speeds and in the opposite direction at low speeds.

Drive Mode Select offers Normal, ECO, Sport, and Custom modes. Trail Mode, which controls AWD, braking, and drive force on wet or uneven surfaces, is standard on the TX 350 AWD and TX 500h.

The Unified Spindle front end targets drag

The redesigned front fascia uses the Lexus Unified Spindle design. It regulates airflow, cools the brakes, and is optimized to lower the drag coefficient. A roof spoiler and airflow-regulating fins add to the aerodynamics, and flared rear fenders emphasize the TX's wide track.
