Building on the success of its over-cab sibling, the XL Family A 7872-2, Dethleffs introduces the XL Family I 7812-2 — a luxury integrated motorhome with five sleeping berths, impressive storage, and high load capacity. Unlike the over-cab model, this new design integrates the driver's cab into the living space, creating a roomy, welcoming atmosphere enhanced by large panoramic windows for a bright, open feel. A cleverly integrated drop-down bed in the cab offers cozy sleeping space for two at the push of a button.
Built for Year-Round Adventures
With its dynamic exterior featuring the iconic red Dethleffs design line, the XL Family I 7812-2 stands out on any journey. Mounted on a low-frame AL-KO chassis with tandem axle, it boasts a permissible total weight of 5,400 kg and a heated double floor offering frost-proof water installations. The lowered rear section provides expansive storage options, making it easy to bring along everything from bikes to camping gear.
The high-grade GRP exterior, XPS insulation, and allergen-friendly hot water heating system ensure a warm and comfortable interior, even in the harshest conditions. The heating system connects to the engine's cooling system, allowing preheating before cold starts and efficient heat usage while driving. Heated exterior mirrors, a warm water floor mat in the cab, and double-glazed windows further enhance winter readiness.
Living Space Designed for Families
Entering through the 70 cm wide door, travelers are greeted by a spacious living area with a ceiling height of 2.08 meters. The interior features Dethleffs' stylish Floyd upholstery paired with warm Noce Nagano wood decor. Overhead cabinets with soft-close doors and integrated LED ambient lighting add to the cozy, modern atmosphere. The seating group up front accommodates up to five people, with four belted seats included as standard and an optional additional seat with a three-point belt. The integrated Isofix system ensures safe travel with children, and the seating area easily converts into an extra sleeping space when needed.

The rear features two premium single beds, each measuring 80 x 200 cm, accessible via a short staircase. The integrated double bed over the cab offers generous dimensions of 196 x 150 cm. This thoughtful layout guarantees restful nights for all passengers.
