SHERIDAN, WYOMING – July 13, 2025 – Niesmann+Bischoff is ushering in a new era of luxury motorhome travel with the debut of the redesigned Arto — the brand’s first fully integrated liner built on a Mercedes Sprinter, combining smart technology, elegant design, and exceptional comfort.
The new Arto represents a major evolution in the company’s premium lineup, blending cutting-edge tech with the design DNA of the successful iSmove and Flair models.
Next-level comfort meets proven design
The Arto’s interior and exterior now follow the design language of the iSmove and Flair, a move that reflects their proven success.
“That we are now transferring both the interior and exterior design from the iSmove and Flair to the Arto was obvious due to the success story of the two model series,” said Managing Director Hubert Brandl. “But we wouldn't be Niesmann and Bischoff if we were satisfied with that. Always looking for the special feature in our motorhomes, this time we set ourselves the task of developing the first liner on a Mercedes Sprinter. And I believe we have achieved this impressively.”
Powerful features and smart storage
Available in two layout versions — the Arto 78 (7.82 meters) and the Arto 88 (9.06 meters) — the vehicle is clearly positioned in the liner class. It boasts generous dimensions and thoughtful engineering:
- Up to 4,532 liters of storage across the double floor and rear garage
- 300-liter fresh water and 200-liter waste water tanks
- Optional 170-liter fixed toilet tank and 50-liter gas tank
- Integrated lithium battery system (150 Ah, expandable to 450 Ah)
- Up to 660 watts of solar panels, 3,000-watt inverter, and 100 A charger
Smart living for modern travelers
The Arto also introduces the brand’s first Smart Caravaning Unit, a digital innovation that connects users directly to their vehicle.
“The right technology, such as for self-sufficiency, function and comfort, plays an outstanding role for motorhomes in the premium segment,” Brandl noted. “The challenge in designing the new Arto was not to make this technology obviously visible and at the same time to create an ambience at an outstanding design level.”
With the Arto app, available starting September 2024, users can:
- Monitor and control the electronics remotely
- Check the interior temperature and pre-heat while skiing
- Choose scenarios like “Coming Home,” “Departure,” or “Going to Bed”
- Receive real-time push notifications for alerts
Elegant details with functional brilliance
The Arto’s patented features are designed to maximize comfort and usability:
- A sensor-controlled entrance door that stops at 90 degrees if a storage flap is open
- A face-to-face seating area that transforms into two belted seats
“The cozy face-to-face bench seat, which can be transformed into two secure seatbelt positions in no time at all – and looks fabulous in both positions thanks to its customizable upholstery design.”
- Programmable central locking to open just specific compartments, such as only those on the passenger side
Also noteworthy are the felt wall coverings for acoustic warmth, a patented sliding wall in the Arto 78’s bathroom, and an intuitive lighting system with motion sensors and modern glass switches.
Kitchen lovers can choose:
- A hybrid cooker (induction and gas)
- Optional oven with grill, microwave, dishwasher, or compressor fridge drawer
Striking exterior that shines day and night
Inspired by the Flair, the Arto’s exterior features a precise, bold design and lighting that leaves a strong impression.
“The lighting in particular underscores the appearance,” Brandl said. “The widely positioned headlights with their striking, continuous daylight signature set confident, automotive accents here.”
At the rear, custom-developed taillights highlight the Arto’s commitment to individual design.
