Chrysler Celebrates 100 Years with Employees, Events, and a Look to the Future

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – June 6, 2025 – Chrysler is turning the big 1-0-0 today, and the celebration is as bold as the brand’s iconic legacy. Marking a century of automotive innovation, Chrysler is honoring its dedicated employees, sharing stories of its history, and inviting fans to join in a summer full of celebratory events.

A Century in the Making: Honoring the People Behind the Brand

On June 5, more than 1,500 employees gathered at the Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, to pose for a historic “birthday” group photo. The event celebrated the thousands of people who’ve helped shape Chrysler over the past century.

“Chrysler held a pivotal role in shaping both the automotive industry and American culture, standing as a symbol of innovation, resilience, and breakthrough design for 100 years,” said Chris Feuell, Chrysler brand CEO. “From the revolutionary, powerful HEMI® V-8 engine to inventing the minivan and introducing innovations like Stow ‘n Go seating, Chrysler has consistently pushed boundaries. As one of the original Big Three, we’ve helped drive industrial growth and have left an indelible mark with vehicles like the Chrysler 300. But Chrysler is more than a brand—it’s a legacy built by generations of passionate employees, and we’re proud to celebrate their contributions as we look ahead to an exciting new era for the next century.”

Employees received commemorative Chrysler t-shirts and cupcakes, and took part in a special dedication of a replica of Walter P. Chrysler’s original toolbox — now serving as a time capsule. The capsule includes:

  • Historic Chrysler vehicle badges and memorabilia
  • Vintage brochures and vehicle sketches
  • A letter from CEO Chris Feuell to future employees and customers
  • A full list of names from the group photo

Summer Events to Bring the Celebration to the Fans

Chrysler’s 100th anniversary celebration doesn’t stop at headquarters. The brand is hitting the road this summer to connect with fans and showcase its legacy at key automotive events:

  • Carlisle Chrysler Nationals: July 11–13, 2025, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania — featuring nearly 3,000 classic and modern vehicles
  • Woodward Cruise: August 16, 2025, along Metro Detroit’s famous Woodward Avenue — the world’s largest car cruise

These events will offer exclusive displays and interactive experiences for enthusiasts of all ages. Details on the brand’s full participation will be announced later this summer.

Celebrating Innovation Through Storytelling

To further commemorate the milestone, Chrysler has launched a seven-part Century of Innovation video series on its social media platforms. These videos celebrate the brand’s achievements, highlight legendary vehicles, and explore key industry innovations over the past 100 years.

Already released videos include:

  • Chrysler Century of Innovation, featuring reflections from CEO Chris Feuell
  • Chrysler Through the Decades, hosted by Chrysler Historian Brandt Rosenbusch
  • Automotive Legend: Walter P. Chrysler, spotlighting the visionary founder’s life and legacy

Full-length versions of the videos are available on the Chrysler Brand and Stellantis North America YouTube channels, while highlights are featured across Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
