E-LION DAY 2025: PERFORMANCE FOCUS FOR PEUGEOT

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Feb. 17, 2025 – Alain Favey, CEO of PEUGEOT Brand, used the third annual E-LION DAY to announce his roadmap and ambitions for 2025. “In addition to the beautiful products already present in our markets, it’s by focusing on our customers and strengthening our partnerships that we will build a bright, successful and sustainable future for PEUGEOT. In 2025, we are definitely in performance mode!”

Electric Leadership and Diverse Powertrains

PEUGEOT boasts the widest EV lineup of any mainstream brand and reaffirms its ambition to lead the EV mainstream European market. Its multi-energy platforms provide solutions for all customer needs, from hybrid to EV, and compact cars to SUVs and light commercial vehicles (LCVs). In 2024, PEUGEOT sold nearly 1.1 million vehicles worldwide and doubled its electric vehicle orders. The brand led the European B segment and LCV electric vehicle markets. The new 3008 has garnered over 120,000 orders, with 22% being the 100% electric E-3008, exceeding the segment average.

“PEUGEOT was once again the leader in electric vehicles in Europe in 2024 in the B segment and the light commercial vehicle market,” the company stated.

Performance and New Models

PEUGEOT is prioritizing performance in 2025, with a focus on France. The EV range expands with the E-3008 and E-5008 Dual Motor 325 hp and the E-5008 5-seater. The PEUGEOT ELECTRIC PROMISE optimizes the electric experience with an 8-year battery and vehicle warranty, included Wall Box, and on-the-go charge pass. PEUGEOT is also increasing its commitment to sustainability through education by intensifying collaborations with Born Free and Under the Pole.

The 5 "E-pillars"

PEUGEOT is committed to achieving Carbon Net Zero and will accelerate this transition through its five “E-pillars”: Electric, Efficiency, Experience, Education, and Environment.

ELECTRIC: Expanding the EV Lineup

In the coming weeks, a high-performance, 100% electric version of the E-3008 and E-5008, the Dual Motor 325 hp with all-wheel drive, will be available. This combines a 213 hp front-wheel drive e-motor with a 112 hp rear-wheel drive e-motor, providing 325 hp total output. The 5-seater version of the PEUGEOT E-5008 will also arrive in the first half of 2025, offering a segment-leading 994L boot volume with the second row in place (78L more than the 7-seat version) and 2310L with the second row folded. This expands PEUGEOT’s SUV offerings to include the 3008 (dynamic fastback), 5008 5-seat (large family SUV), and 5008 7-seat (large SUV with maximum flexibility).

EFFICIENCY: Setting the Standard

PEUGEOT electric vehicles are known for their efficiency. The ADAC Ecotest in 2024 named the PEUGEOT E-208 and E-308 as the most efficient cars on the market. The E-3008 and E-5008 Long Range offer ranges of 700 km and 668 km, respectively. A new battery preheating system, linked to cabin preheating and managed through the Trip Planner, optimizes charging during long journeys in cold weather. PEUGEOT offers a range of electrified powertrains (hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric) on the same platform. The Hybrid e-DCS6 powertrain is available on most PEUGEOT models, offering up to 15% fuel consumption reduction and up to 50% electric driving in urban environments. Plug-in hybrid technology, available on several models, offers up to 87 km of electric range (e.g., PEUGEOT 3008).

EXPERIENCE: Pleasure and Ease

PEUGEOT focuses on customer experience with its electric vehicles. This includes the pleasure of driving and the ease of overcoming range, charging, accessibility, and reliability concerns. PEUGEOT addresses range anxiety with up to 700 km of range. The PEUGEOT ELECTRIC PROMISE provides an 8-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty (Allure Care program), an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty, an included Wall Box, and a Free2Move Charge pass for access to nearly one million charging points in Europe. Accessible financing solutions are also available.

EDUCATION: Partnerships for Sustainability

PEUGEOT supports education projects with Born Free and Under the Pole. As Born Free’s official Education Partner, PEUGEOT supports wildlife conservation through funding, vehicle support, and fundraising. In 2025, PEUGEOT will provide Born Free with Landtrek pickups for their work at the Kenya Feline Sanctuary. PEUGEOT is also the Official Education Partner of Under the Pole, contributing to ocean preservation through educational content, joint presentations, and vehicle support.

ENVIRONMENT: A Comprehensive Approach

François Gemenne, a climate change researcher, spoke at E-LION DAY about the future of electric mobility. PEUGEOT is committed to a sustainable future, aligned with STELLANTIS’ net-zero carbon target. This includes vehicle electrification, sustainable industrial methods, and the use of sustainable materials. PEUGEOT aims to use 100% decarbonized electricity at its Stellantis sites by 2030 (currently 60%). The E-3008 exemplifies these practices, with 85% recyclable materials, 40% recycled materials in the dashboard and carpets, and 24% total recycled content.

“The latest edition of E-LION DAY puts the 5 Es at the heart of its strategy. Alain Favey's clear vision is to lead the brand on its trajectory toward Carbon Net Zero,” the company stated.

Alain Favey concluded, “Becoming PEUGEOT Brand CEO gives me great pride, but also a strong sense of responsibility. The brand is strong, the line-up is complete, with a unique combination of electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid models on the same platforms. We are confident that we have all the assets to succeed and contribute to a sustainable future for tomorrow’s generation.”
