Kia America’s “Accelerate the Good” Program Delivers $4.6 Million to U.S. Nonprofits in 2024

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – May 23, 2025 – Kia America is making waves far beyond the automotive world. Through its “Accelerate the Good” Dealer Match program, the brand and its nationwide network of retailers raised an inspiring $4.6 million in 2024 for nonprofit organizations across the United States, with over $1.5 million each going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® and No Kid Hungry®.

Empowering Communities with Real Impact

Kia’s “Accelerate the Good” initiative, now in its fourth year, is more than a corporate social responsibility program—it’s a nationwide effort to uplift communities in tangible, heartfelt ways.

“At Kia America, our commitment to community remains strong,” said SeungKyu (Sean) Yoon, president and CEO of Kia North America and Kia America. “Our ‘Accelerate the Good’ initiative continues to provide meaningful support to those in need. We are especially proud to continue our support of the lifesaving efforts of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, No Kid Hungry and the meaningful work of dozens of other nonprofit organizations nationwide.”

This year’s donations supported a diverse group of trusted organizations including:

  • American Red Cross
  • Covenant House
  • Operation Homefront
  • Petfinder Foundation
  • Toys for Tots

Local Giving with National Reach

In addition to major national nonprofits, Kia collaborated with local groups across the country—supporting food banks, shelters, and children's hospitals. Whether it's helping stock pantry shelves or funding critical medical care, these partnerships make a real difference in people's daily lives.

Kia’s retailers and employees also went hands-on in their giving efforts, engaging in:

  • Food pantry volunteering
  • Beach cleanup events
  • Clothing drives
  • Art kit donations for hospitalized children

A Legacy of Giving and Sustainability

Since launching “Accelerate the Good” in 2019, Kia has contributed over $30 million to charitable efforts across the U.S. The program continues to evolve, with expanded support for scholarships aimed at underserved students and grants for causes such as:

  • Environmental innovation
  • Ocean conservation
  • Animal welfare

This consistent commitment has helped earn Kia recognition as one of the TIME World's Most Sustainable Companies of 2024, highlighting the brand’s broader mission of driving positive change—on the road and in communities.
