Market Launch of the New Tayron: More Space for Everyone and Everything

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – April 21, 2025 - The new Volkswagen SUV hits showrooms across Europe
Volkswagen showrooms across Europe have welcomed a new member to the family: the all-new Tayron SUV. Just months after its world premiere, the latest addition to the Volkswagen lineup is now available, with first deliveries already making their way to eager customers.

“The Tayron is a real all-rounder among SUVs,” said Martin Sander, Board Member for Sales, Marketing and After Sales at Volkswagen Passenger Cars. “The high order intake and the initial feedback coming in from the dealerships confirms that we are meeting our customers’ needs and requirements with the new Tayron.”

A celebration of space, comfort, and versatility
Special launch events delight visitors and new customers
To mark the arrival of the Tayron, dealerships hosted “Tayron Family Days” — a festive welcome for Volkswagen’s newest SUV. Guests had the opportunity to test-drive the Tayron and discover its standout features, including a refined interior, generous luggage capacity, and impressive towing capabilities.

A unique twist on automotive marketing
Dogs take center stage in a family-friendly campaign
The Tayron’s launch is being supported by a fun, international 360-degree marketing campaign — and this time, it’s gone to the dogs. In a playful TV commercial, joyful pups leap into the Tayron’s expansive cargo area to the upbeat rhythm of Who Let The Dogs Out. Highlighting the vehicle’s spacious design and optional third row of seats, the campaign cleverly speaks to both families and dog lovers alike.

Dogs visit Volkswagen’s Wolfsburg plant
Volkswagen has taken its dog-friendly theme even further with exclusive content on its social media channels. In one video, a group of dogs takes a charming tour of the Wolfsburg plant — the very birthplace of the Tayron. Riding the visitor train, the pups watch the SUV being built with care and precision by dedicated Volkswagen employees.

The canine star of the show, Journo the Working Kelpie, even makes a trip to a dealership, where he’s handed the key to “his” Tayron before joyfully hopping into the SUV’s extra-large trunk.

“The fun, likable campaign approach underscores that the customer – be they human or animal – is always front and center,” added Sander.

A new SUV with room for life – and more
With the Tayron now on sale and ready for adventure, Volkswagen has successfully delivered a vehicle that merges style, performance, and practicality — perfect for families, pet owners, and space-seekers alike.
