SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Feb. 19, 2025 – May Mobility, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, has announced the launch of its commercial driverless autonomous transportation service in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. This marks a significant milestone as May Mobility's third driverless deployment in the United States, following successful initiatives in Sun City, Arizona, and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

A Partnership for Progress

This groundbreaking deployment is the result of a collaborative partnership between May Mobility, Curiosity Lab, T-Mobile, and the City of Peachtree Corners. Since September 2024, May Mobility has been providing public rides in its Toyota Sienna Autono-MaaS to visitors of Peachtree Corner’s Curiosity Lab, a pioneering smart city environment powered by connected infrastructure and T-Mobile’s 5G network. These initial rides were conducted with safety drivers present, paving the way for this fully driverless launch.

Navigating the Cityscape

The service zone encompasses eight strategically located stops along Technology Parkway. These stops provide convenient access to popular destinations, including hotels, restaurants, retail shops, office spaces, the Innovation Center at Curiosity Lab, and Peachtree Corners City Hall. This carefully planned route ensures that residents and visitors alike can experience the benefits of autonomous transportation.

Leadership's Vision

“Peachtree Corners will be our third driverless operation, and we are excited to debut our first publicly available driverless service in the City of Peachtree Corners,” said Edwin Olson, CEO and founder of May Mobility. “This launch reinforces the importance of working with cities and communities everywhere to solve real transportation challenges.”

The Technology Behind the Wheel

May Mobility's vehicles are equipped with their patented Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology. This cutting-edge technology leverages the power of artificial intelligence to continuously learn and adapt to the dynamic and often unpredictable conditions of real-world driving. This adaptive capability is crucial for ensuring the safety and efficiency of autonomous vehicle operations.

A Smart City Ecosystem

“Curiosity Lab’s real-world smart city ecosystem has provided May Mobility with a unique environment to both continue to develop and improve their operations over the past six months, which has only further prepared the May Mobility team for its third driver-out operation and first commercial operation in the US,” said Brian Johnson, City of Peachtree Corners City Manager. This statement highlights the importance of real-world testing and collaboration in the development of autonomous vehicle technology.

Looking Ahead

May Mobility is committed to expanding its services in Peachtree Corners and is actively collaborating with the city on future initiatives. The company also has plans to launch autonomous vehicles in the metro Atlanta area in partnership with Lyft later this year. May Mobility anticipates announcing additional driverless operations in the USA throughout 2025, further solidifying its position as a leader in the autonomous vehicle industry. This continued expansion demonstrates May Mobility's dedication to bringing safe and accessible autonomous transportation solutions to communities across the country. The company's focus on partnerships and technological innovation positions it well for continued growth and success in the rapidly evolving landscape of transportation. This launch in Peachtree Corners represents not just another deployment, but a significant step forward in the broader adoption of autonomous vehicles and the transformation of urban mobility.
