
SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Feb. 9, 2025 – Peugeot has announced impressive business results for 2024, solidifying its position as a leading force in the European electric vehicle market. The brand reported 1,097,750 registrations in 2024, with a significant 35% of Peugeots registered in EU29 being electric (BEV + PHEV + MHEV).
Electric Vehicle Leadership
In a challenging and competitive market, Peugeot has more than doubled its electric car orders compared to 2023, outpacing the 8% growth in the European electric vehicle market. "These excellent results bring us closer to our goal of becoming the EV leader in the European mainstream market," stated a company representative. Peugeot maintains its dominance in the electric city car segment with the PEUGEOT E-208 and leads the electric light commercial vehicle segment with the PEUGEOT E-Partner, PEUGEOT E-Expert, and PEUGEOT E-Boxer. The brand has also confirmed its move upmarket with the launch of the PEUGEOT E-3008, the PEUGEOT E-5008, and the PEUGEOT E-408.
Regional Success
Enlarged Europe: Peugeot achieved a volume of 827,523 registrations with a 4.9% market share. The PEUGEOT E-208 is the No. 1 electric B-segment saloon in Europe 29, and Peugeot leads the electric commercial vehicle segment. In France, Peugeot holds the No. 2 position in the passenger and commercial vehicle market, with the PEUGEOT E-208 leading the B-segment saloons, the PEUGEOT 2008 leading the B-segment SUVs, the PEUGEOT 3008 leading the C-segment SUVs, and the PEUGEOT 308 being the No. 1 C-segment saloon and estate car. Other notable achievements include the PEUGEOT 208 being the best-selling B-segment saloon in Denmark, Peugeot being the market leader in passenger and commercial vehicles in Portugal for the 4th consecutive year, the PEUGEOT 208 being No. 3 in the B-Hatch segment in Spain, and Peugeot holding the No. 2 position in the passenger and commercial vehicle market in Greece since 2019.
Middle East & Africa: Peugeot recorded a volume of 121,429 registrations with a 2.8% market share. Ten countries in this region saw increasing market share, with Turkey placing Peugeot in the Top 5 for the 2nd consecutive year with a 5.9% market share. PEUGEOT 408 volumes were up by 23%.
Latin America: The brand achieved a volume of 88,675 registrations and a 2.2% market share. In Brazil, Peugeot holds a 1.1% market share, while in Argentina, it holds a 9.5% market share and is in the Top 4, with the PEUGEOT 208 being the best-selling car across all segments. In Chile, Peugeot holds a 5.3% market share and is in the Top 6, leading the C-Van segment with the PEUGEOT PARTNER and being Top 2 in the commercial vehicle segment.
India & Asia-Pacific: Peugeot registered 17,007 units with a 0.1% market share. In Vietnam, Peugeot is in the Top 9 and the only European brand in the Top 10, with volumes up by 15%.
North America (Mexico): Peugeot registered 18,825 units, achieving a 1.2% market share, its highest sales volume in the last 15 years.

Peugeot holds a Top 3 position in the B-Hatch segment, with the PEUGEOT E-208 leading the electric B-segment. The PEUGEOT 208 is the 4th vehicle in the B-SUV segment, and the PEUGEOT E-2008 is 3rd in the electric B-SUV segment. The PEUGEOT PARTNER/RIFTER leads the C-VAN segment. Peugeot is also a leader in PHEV in the C-segment saloons and holds a Top 5 position in the C-segment saloons with the PEUGEOT 408, which has seen 100,000 orders since its successful launch. The PEUGEOT 3008 leads the C-SUV segment in France, and the PEUGEOT 5008 leads the 7-seater C-SUV segment in France.

The PEUGEOT 208 leads global sales with 274,819 registrations, followed by the PEUGEOT 2008 with 214,995, the PEUGEOT PARTNER/RIFTER with 132,963, the PEUGEOT 3008 with 130,218, the PEUGEOT 308 with 99,757, the PEUGEOT 5008 with 48,152, and the PEUGEOT 408 with 38,900.

Peugeot’s 2024 highlights include the “E-Lion Project” announcement of its Carbon Net Zero Strategy, the Allure Care program offering 8 years/160,000 KM on the electric line-up, and the introduction of ChatGPT in PEUGEOT vehicles. Key reveals included the new PEUGEOT 9X8 livery, the new PEUGEOT E-5008, and the PEUGEOT E-408.
