SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Jan. 16, 2025 – Renault Group has announced strong sales results for 2024, with all brands experiencing growth. The Group sold 2,264,815 vehicles worldwide, representing a 1.3% increase compared to 2023. This success is attributed to the launch of 10 new models across the Renault, Dacia, and Alpine brands.
Renault Brand Leads the Way
Renault, the best-selling French brand globally, saw sales rise by 1.8% to 1,577,351 vehicles. In Europe, Renault outpaced the market with 3.3% growth, driven by strong performances in France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Italy.
The brand's success can be attributed to its value-oriented commercial policy, focusing on retail customers and the C-segment and above. Renault also continued its electrification offensive, with hybrid vehicles now accounting for 40% of its ICE sales in Europe. The launch of the Scenic E-Tech electric, Symbioz, and Rafale models further strengthened Renault's position in the C-segment and above.
Dacia Brand Achieves Record Market Share
Dacia recorded 676,340 sales worldwide, a 2.7% increase compared to 2023. The brand achieved record market shares in key markets like Italy, Morocco, Spain, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Dacia's strong product plan, based on its four pillar models – Sandero, Duster, Jogger, and Spring – has been instrumental in its success.
Dacia Sandero continues to be a top performer, holding the title of best-selling car among private customers and across all channels in 2024. The brand remains committed to its value-driven strategy and is expanding into the C-segment with the upcoming launch of the Bigster.
Alpine Brand Continues Growth Trajectory
Alpine achieved its fourth consecutive year of sales growth, with a 5.9% increase to 4,585 vehicles sold. Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany were the main drivers of this growth. The brand's electric offensive began with the launch of the A290, its first all-electric hot hatch, which was awarded Car of the Year 2025.
Mobilize Brand Focuses on Electric Mobility Solutions
Mobilize opened orders for its Duo quadricycle in both with and without a driver's license versions. The brand is committed to providing simple and accessible charging solutions for electric vehicle drivers. Mobilize Power, its bidirectional home charging service, is now available with the Renault 5 E-Tech electric and Alpine A290. The brand is also expanding its Mobilize Fast Charge network in France and Italy.
Electrification Remains a Key Focus
Renault Group continues to push forward with its electrification strategy. In Europe, 34.7% of the Group's sales were electrified vehicles, a 4.3 point increase compared to 2023. Sales of hybrid vehicles grew by 45%, now representing 25.5% of the Group's sales.
The Renault 5 E-Tech electric, launched in October 2024, has quickly become a best-seller, leading the electric car market in France in November and December.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Renault Group has an ambitious plan for 2025, with the launch of seven new vehicles. The Group will continue its electrification offensive with models like the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, Dacia Bigster, and Alpine A390.
