Stellantis Completes Acquisition of Punch Powertrain, Expanding eDCT Transmission Production

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – January 29, 2025 – SHERIDAN, WYOMING, January 29, 2025 – Stellantis N.V. today announced the full acquisition of the shares in the joint venture established in 2018 with Belgian multinational Punch Powertrain, a leading OEM in the production of transmission and propulsion systems for the automotive sector.

This strategic move consolidates Stellantis' control over the design and production of eDCT transmissions, a cutting-edge hybrid technology that integrates a 21-kW electric motor into a dual-clutch transmission. The eDCT transmissions are currently being produced at the plants in Metz, France, and the Mirafiori complex in Turin, Italy.
