SHERIDAN, WYOMING – November 16, 2024 – Stellantis Motorsport is marking a significant milestone with the delivery of its 560th Rally4 car. The car, a Peugeot 208 Rally4, was delivered to Samuel Benedetti Dyer in Peru.

A Popular Choice for Rally Drivers

Introduced in 2020 with the Peugeot 208 Rally4, the Stellantis Motorsport Rally4 family has become a popular choice for rally drivers worldwide. The range expanded in 2021 with the Opel Corsa Rally4, and the Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 is set to join the lineup in 2025.

The Rally4's popularity is evident in its sales figures, surpassing the record previously set by its predecessor, the Peugeot 208 R2. Stellantis Motorsport has produced over three-quarters of the cars in the Rally4 class, highlighting its dominance in this segment. Since the beginning of the year, Rally4 cars have competed in over 2,500 rallies across the globe, particularly in Europe and Latin America.

A Milestone Delivery in Peru

The 560th Rally4, a Peugeot 208, was delivered to Samuel Benedetti Dyer, a 57-year-old gentleman driver and loyal Peugeot customer. Dyer, who has owned three other Peugeot rally cars, is returning to racing after an 11-year break to compete in the "Gran Premio Caminos del Inca 2024." He has previously participated in this iconic event six times.

"I'm a fan of the brand," exclaimed Dyer. "After such a long time out of racing, the 208 Rally4 is the perfect car for me, given how easy it is to get used to driving it. I hope to contest the entire ACP (Automóvil Club Peruano) championship in it next year."

Another experienced driver, 45-year-old Raul Velit, will also be competing in the "Gran Premio Caminos del Inca 2024" with a Peugeot 208 Rally4. Supported by Peugeot Peru, Velit has already achieved an impressive record this year, winning four out of the six rallies he entered.

A Formula for Success

The Rally4 cars have a proven formula for success, combining a distinctive design with an excellent cost-to-performance ratio and exceptional reliability. They are easy to handle, cost-effective to run, and offer a high level of performance that allows a wide range of drivers to excel.

Mayeul Tyl, Stellantis Motorsport Racing Shop Manager, expressed his pride in seeing talented young drivers and experienced competitors alike showcasing the Rally4's qualities worldwide.

"Our Rally4 cars have nonetheless become widely regarded as the benchmark in the category. They have claimed several two-wheel drive national championships, and produced notable performances at a number of international events. This goes to show that they have a high level of performance and reliability, regardless of the surface."

Stellantis Motorsport is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to its customers. This commitment is exemplified by the recent opening of a Peugeot 208 Rally4 production unit in Argentina. This unit not only increases production in the strategically important Latin American market but also allows customers in the region to support local industry.
