SHERIDAN, WYOMING – April 20, 2025 - Bold innovation meets everyday utility in Suzuki’s first all-electric production model
Suzuki takes a major leap into the electric future
Suzuki has officially revealed comprehensive details of its first all-electric B-SUV, the e VITARA, set to launch in Germany this fall. Built on Suzuki’s newly developed EV platform, the e VITARA blends modern design, powerful performance, and practical features—all while staying true to the brand’s hallmark of reliability and adventure.
Advanced electric platform and spacious design
The new e VITARA is based on the lightweight and secure HEARTECT-e platform, specially engineered for Suzuki’s battery-electric vehicles. This architecture provides optimal protection for the high-voltage battery and enables a spacious, modular interior. The B-SUV will be manufactured at Suzuki’s Gujarat plant in India.
Performance meets personality
Under the design concept of “Emotional Versatile Cruiser,” the e VITARA showcases a confident presence with advanced electric technology. Available in two battery variants (49 kWh and 61 kWh), it offers ranges of up to 428 kilometers and can be equipped with Suzuki’s signature ALLGRIP-e electric all-wheel-drive system.
Dynamic styling with SUV character
The e VITARA combines “High-Tech & Adventure” styling, with bold design elements such as large wheels and a long 2,700 mm wheelbase. Customers can choose from eleven exterior color combinations, including five two-tone options (exclusive to the Comfort+ trim). Inside, flexibility is prioritized with a sliding rear bench and cutting-edge digital cockpit, featuring a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch central display compatible with Apple CarPlay¹ and Android Auto¹.
Efficient eAxle drive system
The electric drivetrain features an integrated eAxle and a lithium iron phosphate battery, offering up to 428 km range, swift acceleration, and dependable performance.
- 49 kWh battery (Club trim): 106 kW / 144 hp, 193 Nm torque
- 61 kWh battery (Comfort & Comfort+ trims):
- FWD: 128 kW / 174 hp
- AWD: Dual motors delivering a combined 135 kW / 183 hp and 307 Nm torque
ALLGRIP-e: All-wheel drive for all terrains
Suzuki’s new ALLGRIP-e system utilizes two independent e-axles to deliver high power and precise handling. The Trail Mode optimizes traction on unpaved roads by shifting torque to the wheel with better grip.
Comfort and tech across three trim levels
The e VITARA will be available in Club, Comfort, and Comfort+ trims. Each level is tailored to varying needs and preferences:
- Club (49 kWh): Includes 18” alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, wireless smartphone integration, keyless start, parking sensors, and ambient lighting.
- Comfort (61 kWh): Adds front seat and steering wheel heating, front windshield heater, and warm air distribution to the rear.
- Comfort+ (61 kWh): Offers 19” alloy wheels, panoramic glass roof, premium sound system, electrically adjustable driver seat, wireless phone charger, and a 360° camera.
Enhanced range and control with intelligent thermal management
A sophisticated thermal management system controls both battery and cabin temperature, aided by a heat pump, heated seats, and steering wheel—all contributing to improved energy efficiency and driving range.
Next-gen Suzuki Connect features
The upgraded Suzuki Connect app now includes EV-specific features such as battery status check, remote climate control, charging management, vehicle locator, and integrated route planning.
Arriving this fall in Germany
The Suzuki e VITARA enters production in May 2025 and will be available to German customers by autumn 2025. Pricing and additional market-specific details will follow soon.
