SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Feb. 20, 2025 – Dr. Boy GmbH & Co. KG, a leading global manufacturer of injection molding machines, will showcase six of its machines at Kuteno in Bad Salzuflen from May 13th to 15th. The company will demonstrate its expertise in manufacturing compact and energy-efficient machines for the plastics processing industry at booth 20-D22.

BOY 35 Electric Demonstrates Precision Molding

A BOY 35 Electric (350 kN clamping force) will produce fine screens made of Luranyl. The integrated LR 5 linear handling system, controlled via the machine's interface, will precisely remove and deposit the finished parts. The BOY 35 Electric offers features that enhance precision and efficiency, especially in high-speed applications, through parallel movements. Its electro-mechanical drives for injection, dosing, and ejection ensure an oil and lubricant-free mold area. This machine, part of the new Electric series, features a redesigned look and incorporates OSSD safety technology (non-contact safety switch). The integrated drive and inverter technology, despite its compact size, offers various expansion options, staying true to BOY's small footprint design philosophy.

BOY XS E for Micro and Small Part Molding

A BOY XS E will produce crown caps made of TPE. With a 100 kN clamping force and a footprint of just 0.87 m², the BOY XS E is suitable for sprueless micro and small part injection molding. Its cantilevered two-platen clamping unit, with a diagonal tie bar arrangement, provides optimal access to the plasticizing unit, mold area, and ejector, simplifying automation integration. This machine features several optimizations and will be equipped with the latest BOY Procan ALPHA© 6 control system.

BOY Machines Featured at Partner Booths

BOY machines will also be featured at the booths of several partner companies. HNP Mikrosysteme GmbH will use a BOY 25 E to produce Deli-trays made of NAS 30. IKK - Institut für Kunststoff- und Kreislauftechnik will showcase a BOY 25 E producing a “tyre butler” from Polypropylene-Recyclate, used for tire position marking. WIS Kunststoffe GmbH will utilize a BOY XS E to produce shopping cart chips from Polypropylene-Recyclate. Finally, Albrecht + Schumacher Oberflächentechnik GmbH will produce PP bookmarks on another BOY XS E.

Sales Team Ready for Discussions

Andreas Scheideler, Head of Domestic Sales, anticipates numerous discussions at the event: “It is very important for us to be able to present our new Electric series to a wide audience in the northern part of Germany after the Fakuma. Kuteno offers an excellent platform.” Dirk Steinbach and Arkadius Krzonkalla, Sales Consultants for the northern part of Germany and North Rhine-Westphalia, will also be present and look forward to engaging with visitors.
