Segway Xyber Air: Moto-Style Class 3 E-Bike for $1,999.99

Segway Xyber Air: Moto-Style Class 3 E-Bike for $1,999.99

Plano, Texas – October 28, 2026 -- Segway's new Xyber Air e-bike is on sale now for $1,999.99 MSRP. It brings the moped-style look of the original Xyber to a lighter bike that supports Class 1, 2 and 3 operation.

You can buy it at store.Segway.com, from official Segway dealers and at SCHEELS stores nationwide.

The Xyber Air keeps the angular frame and X-shaped lights

The frame follows the angular lines of the 2025 original in a cleaner silhouette. Front and rear X-shaped lights bookend the profile. Segway's director of US eBike product, Sarah Courtney, said the goal was a model that can be "ridden anywhere e-bikes are allowed."

A 750-watt motor takes the bike from 0 to 20 mph in 9 seconds

The motor delivers 750 watts of nominal power, 1,600 watts of peak power and 80 Nm of torque. Top speed is 20 mph in Class 1 (pedal assist) and Class 2 (pedal assist or throttle), and 28 mph in Class 3 (pedal assist). A Hybrid Mode allows throttle use up to 20 mph, with pedal assist taking over up to 28 mph without switching modes.

A 717-Wh battery provides up to 58 miles of range, and a full charge takes about seven hours. Segway's Algorithm 2.0 reads cadence and gyroscopic sensor data to keep pedal assist smooth.

An 80 mm dual-crown fork and 4-inch tires handle rough ground

The front fork has 80 millimeters of travel, and the tires measure 20 x 4 inches. Two-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 180-millimeter rotors sit at both wheels. The bike weighs 84 pounds, carries up to 330 pounds and fits riders from 4'8" to 6'.

Security tools include Apple Find My, GPS and remote disabling

The Segway Intelligent Ride System adds AirLock auto unlocking, Apple Find My, real-time GPS, a motion alert alarm and Lost Mode remote disabling. AirLock, GPS tracking and Lost Mode require a subscription after the first year.

A full-color TFT display shows navigation and ride metrics, controls phone music and can hold or reject calls. Its brightness adjusts to ambient light. Traction control, hill descent control with regen and hill start assist are standard, as is a 600-lumen automatic headlight with a taillight and brake light.

Performance settings adapt to local e-bike rules

Segway says performance parameters can be configured through its connected vehicle technology to meet local requirements without hardware changes. The Xyber Air will comply with applicable New York City and New York State e-bike regulations at launch. Updates for Segway's existing e-bike lineup in the region roll out through the end of October. Class functionality and top speed remain subject to federal, state and local laws.

Optional accessories start at $79.99

A fender set costs $79.99. A $79.99 rear rack carries up to 22 pounds and has built-in bungee attachment points. A weather-resistant hardshell in-frame bag costs $99.99 and includes a combination lock.

SCHEELS locations offer professional assembly, setup and ongoing service through full-service bike shops with trained mechanics.
