Berlin – September 10, 2026 -- Segway picked up two gold medals at IFA 2026 in Berlin for its next-generation electric scooters, the ZT3 MAX and the MAX G3 Pro, ahead of their European launch in October 2026.
The ZT3 MAX took gold in the Off-Road E-Scooter Technology category, while the Ninebot MAX G3 Pro won in the Long-Range Riding Technology category. Both awards come from the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards, handed out annually at IFA, one of the world's largest consumer electronics trade shows. The prize was established in 2014 by International Data Group (IDG) and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), with continued backing from IFA.
Two flagship lines split the honors
Segway's MAX G and ZT series represent its two core scooter lines, each built for a different kind of ride. The MAX G series targets daily commuters looking for reliability and comfort, while the ZT series is engineered for off-road stability and grip across uneven terrain.
Their predecessors, the ZT3 Pro and MAX G3, already built a strong following among riders in Europe and North America, becoming two of Segway's best-selling premium scooter models. The new ZT3 MAX and MAX G3 Pro build directly on that track record, adding upgrades to technology, performance, and overall ride feel.
Real-world riding conditions shaped the design
Segway says both models were designed around how people actually ride, from cobblestone streets in European cities to hills, wind, and stop-and-go traffic. The company integrates hardware, software, and an intelligent control system into a single riding setup rather than tuning individual specs in isolation.
Full technical specifications, pricing, and availability will be announced at the European launch in October 2026.
