Segway's New Flagship E-Scooters Win Double Gold at IFA 2026

Berlin – September 10, 2026 -- Segway has won two gold awards at IFA 2026 in Berlin for its upcoming flagship electric scooters, the ZT3 MAX and the MAX G3 Pro, both set to launch in Europe in October 2026.

The Segway eKickScooter ZT3 MAX took gold in the off-road e-scooter technology category, while the Segway eKickScooter Ninebot MAX G3 Pro won gold for long-range riding technology. The Global Product Technology Innovation Awards are handed out annually at IFA, one of the world's largest consumer electronics trade shows, and were founded in 2014 by International Data Group (IDG) and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), with ongoing support from IFA.

Two flagship families push different riding priorities

The MAX G and ZT lines represent two of Segway's flagship scooter families, each built around a distinct riding experience. The MAX G series targets long-distance commuting, daily reliability, and comfort, while the ZT series focuses on off-road capability, stability, and safety across varied terrain.

The earlier ZT3 Pro and MAX G3 models became two of Segway's best-selling premium scooters among riders in Europe and North America. The new ZT3 MAX and MAX G3 Pro build on that track record with upgrades to technology, performance, and overall ride quality.

Real-world riding conditions shaped the design process

Segway says both models were developed around how people actually use the vehicles -- from cobblestone streets in European cities to hills, wind, and stop-and-go traffic. The company integrates hardware, software, and intelligent controls into a single riding system rather than optimizing individual specs separately.

Full specifications, availability, and pricing will be announced at the European launch in October.
