NEW YORK – October 28, 2026 -- Slate Truck buyers can now dress their pickups in six Smarties-inspired colors: Blue Raspberry, Cherry, Grape, Pineapple, Orange, or Strawberry. The pastel Starter Pack series is a collaboration between Slate and the candy brand.
Each Starter Pack bundles color-matched decals and candy-branded extras
Every pack includes color-matching mirror decals, a Smarties-branded rocker decal, a Smarties logo decal, a Smarties key fob endcap, and an interior Slatelet. Slate says its vehicles are the first designed to be wrapped, so owners can re-wrap as their tastes change.
Smarties Co-President Jessica Dee Sawyer said the collaboration brings "the spirit of Halloween along for the ride, all year long."
The Slate Truck costs $24,950, half the price of the average U.S. vehicle
Slate puts the truck's $24,950 price at half the cost of the average vehicle sold in the United States. A preorder requires $300, and buyers can add a Smarties Starter Pack at any time. Before their delivery date, customers can purchase the packs on the Slate Marketplace.
Buyers can order the Slate as a pickup or as one of two SUVs, or convert it after purchase.
Slate expects first deliveries in Q4 2026 from its Indiana factory
Slate will assemble its vehicles at a reindustrialized factory in Warsaw, Ind. The company says the vehicles are designed to achieve the highest safety ratings.
