Toyota Turns the Crown Signia Into a Widebody GT at SEMA

Plano, Texas – October 31, 2026 -- Toyota has turned the 2026 Crown Signia into a lowered, widebody grand tourer called the Crown Signia GT-S Concept, shown at the 2026 SEMA show. The idea: a vehicle with room for family, friends, and gear that still looks at home on canyon roads.

The one-off was built by the Toyota Motorsports Garage. It keeps the Crown Signia's clean body lines and low-slung SUV proportions, then adds an aggressive stance and a purpose-built wheel-and-tire package.

Widebody fenders and a custom gray finish reshape the Crown Signia

The long roofline is paired with fully integrated widebody fenders, reshaped headlight surrounds with red accents, a revised rear treatment, and a sporty aero package. Toyota says these changes alter the vehicle's proportions while preserving the elegance of the original design.

The paint is a custom-mixed dark gray metallic with added flake and coats of clear. A custom exhaust ends in trapezoidal tips built into the rear aero package. Inside, the front seats are highly bolstered and accented in red.

Coilovers drop the ride height by nearly five inches

Custom one-off MCS® coilovers lower the concept nearly five inches compared with the stock version. Giant front and rear brake calipers adapted from the Lexus RX 500h F SPORT back up the look.

The wheels are special-built 21-inch HRE® units wrapped in 295-mm-wide tires. Toyota estimates they provide 20 percent more contact than the stock version.

Toyota flags the prototype's warranty and legality limits

The vehicle is a special project prototype modified with parts and accessories not available from Toyota. Toyota notes that such parts may void the warranty, may negatively affect performance and safety, and may not be street legal.
