Mutsamudu – September 10, 2026 -- Crypto exchange MEXC has launched a campaign called "Trade Wall Street, Without Walls," arguing that crypto-native platforms are removing long-standing barriers to stock market participation, including limited trading hours and high fees.
The push is backed by new research from MEXC and CoinGecko, which surveyed users with traditional finance experience. The study found that 74.2% of respondents had shifted some or all of their traditional asset trading activity to crypto exchanges. The top complaints about traditional brokerages were limited trading hours, cited by 58.8% of respondents, and high fees, cited by 54.7%.
Five 'walls' define the campaign's framework
MEXC frames the shift around five barriers it says have historically restricted retail stock trading: the Access Wall, Fee Wall, Time Wall, Capital Wall and Direction Wall. These cover where and when users can trade, the costs and capital required, and the trading strategies available to them.
MEXC expands its stock-related product lineup across the market lifecycle
The company says its Stock Ecosystem now spans Pre-IPO, IPO and Post-IPO stages. Pre-IPO products include Pre-IPO Futures and a Pre-IPO Launchpad. IPO-stage offerings include IPO Launchpad and IPO Express. Post-IPO products include RealStocks, Tokenized Stocks and Stock Futures. Select products offer 0-fee trading, USDT-based participation, extended or around-the-clock access, and the ability to take both long and short positions. MEXC notes that product availability and trading conditions vary by region.
"The biggest change is not simply that more traditional assets are becoming available on crypto platforms. It is that the way retail users access and trade those assets is changing," said Vugar Usi Zade, CEO of MEXC. He added that crypto-native infrastructure offers a chance to rethink constraints around access, time, cost, capital and direction.
MEXC pairs the campaign with a markets education initiative
Alongside the campaign, MEXC is introducing Opportunity Compass, a global markets education initiative meant to help users understand asset classes, market drivers and risk as trading options expand beyond crypto into stocks and tokenized assets.
