The successful re-start of spoga horse 2022 was accompanied by a number of new features: A new concept, a new innovation prize, new special zones, new themes. This new alignment went down well with both the exhibitors and visitors and will be continued in 2023 accordingly. The number of applications for 2023 is promising: The 250 exhibitors, who have already registered, can now already submit their products for the TOP INNOVATIONS. Companies founded within the last five years can submit their entries regardless of whether they have a stand or not - in the scope of the Start-Up Village, spoga horse is at the same time creating new space for young, innovative entrepreneurs. This will further increase the opportunities and visibility of these companies.

Insiders have held spoga horse in high esteem as a focused business platform for the equestrian industry for many years. spoga horse has changed as dynamically as the market over the past years and today it is a presentation area, networking and further educational event for the entire global B2B equestrian industry - an evolution that was gladly appreciated by 329 exhibitors from 26 countries and 5,000 trade visitors in the summer of 2022 after a two year break due to the pandemic.

The three pillars Product Presentation, Networking and Conference will not only be present on-site in Cologne, but simultaneously on a cross-border scale with the aid of new digital tools. Side events like the CREATOR DAYS provide added exposure also within the B2C sector without diluting the B2B DNA of the event. spoga horse's basis of success remains to be the high density of decision-makers among both the exhibitors and visitors and thus the manifold business opportunities.

Innovation and exchange
The industry regularly introduces exciting innovations onto the market, especially in the sections sustainability, digitalisation and safety for the rider and horse. Innovations are sustainable new features and they get the industry moving. The annually staged spoga horse TOP INNOVATIONS lend these innovations the perfect platform. 30 products are shortlisted and exhibited on the BOULEVARD OF INNOVATIONS, five of which are ultimately distinguished during spoga horse. More than ever before, spoga horse will offer inspiring keynotes, panel talks and presentations on the most relevant industry topics. THE STAGE is the central location for these formats. The new, large multifunctional main stage is the central zone at spoga horse, where among others the Fashion Walk, the award ceremony of the spoga horse TOP INNOVATIONS as well as exciting panels and discussions are held. But daily panel discussions also attract the visitors to this central location during spoga horse. THE STAGE not only takes place in Cologne at the fair grounds, but also in the live stream and on-demand via the app and on the digital event platform after the trade fair.

New segments and suppliers under the spotlight
In addition to the traditionally strongly represented segments riding clothes, care & health, horse feed, saddle & accessories as well as gift items, the themes stable & paddock, transport as well as services for equestrian industry professionals are also covered in Cologne. Furthermore, in future main annual themes will focus on special segments. In 2022, the new products and highlights of premium brands from the stable, paddock & transport section will be exhibited. 2023 will place the focus on the theme "Equiliving".

In 2023, international start-ups will enhance the Start-Up Village. Not only participants of the support programme of the Federal Ministry of Economics will be able to exhibit there at favourable conditions, small companies from abroad can also benefit from attractive introductory packages for their first participation at the leading B2B equestrian trade fair.
