After the Re-start Edition last year, about 1,300 exhibitors from 70 countries will present the trends of the international sweets and snacks industry again this year, which means ISM is confirming its position as the leading global trade fair.The exhibitors include several newcomers from countries like Armenia, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Trinidad and Tobago or Venezuela.

The largest and most important trade fair for sweets and snacks worldwide is among others paying tribute to her commitment towards more sustainability in the sweets and snacks industry.Fazer is striving to get the food industry on the path to a liveable future with environmentally-friendly, healthy and high-quality products and packaging. Fazer is well-known in Scandinavia for sweets of all kinds and has been a family business for over 130 years. Now in its 4th generation, Majlen Fazer, the great-granddaughter of Karl Fazer, is part of Fazer with the aim of infecting even more people with her enthusiasm for Fazer chocolate.

ISM and ProSweets Cologne - Special Edition kick off with a diversified event programme

Consumer and product trends, innovations, start-up pitches, industry talks and, for the first time, Lab5 by ISM are part of the diverse range of events on site. The preparations are in full swing: ISM and ProSweets Cologne – Special Edition are jointly opening their doors from 23 to 25 April and are thus bringing the international sweets and snacks industry together again. From plant-based to immune-boosting and full of energy products - the spectrum is diverse and colourful After a two-year break due to the pandemic, ISM will take place from 30 January to 2 February 2022 with 1,085 exhibitors from 56 countries. This year, product innovations will once again play a central role at the world's largest trade fair for confectionery and snacks. This is also reflected in the fair's new products overview, which presents numerous new products with around 160 entries.

The world's largest and most important trade fair for sweets and snacks will present new international products and a diversified event programme After a two-year break, ISM 2022 is back with 1,085 exhibiting companies from 56 countries. The world's leading trade fair for sweets and snacks will present the entire product range - from chocolate, confectionery and biscuits through to snacks, trend snacks and natural snacks, ice cream, frozen sweets as well as breakfast snacks - on around 90,000 square metres of exhibition space at the Cologne fair grounds. With 213 exhibitors, ProSweets Cologne, the international supplier fair for the sweets and snacks industry, is once again being staged parallel to ISM. Together both trade fairs cover the entire value chain in the production of sweets and snacks, a unique constellation worldwide.

Safe trade fair experience due to the trusted hygiene concept #B-SAFE4business In two weeks' time the trade fair duo, ISM and ProSweets Cologne, take off again at the Cologne fair grounds after a two-year break due to the pandemic. As the leading international events for the sweets and snacks industry, both trade fairs are must-attend dates for all relevant market participants, because the entire value chain - from the current trends and product innovations through to packaging solutions, production technologies and the latest ingredients and raw materials - can only be experienced here. The trusted #B-Safe4Business hygiene concept and the 3G concept, CH3CK, which optimally regulate admission for all of the trade fair participants with regards to COVID and thus ensures that they are completely safe. The new Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, which is valid from 13 January to 9 February, additionally includes several essential new aspects for the trade fair business and continues to allow the conduction of trade fairs such as ISM and ProSweets Cologne. Both trade fairs are being staged from 30 January to 2 February 2022 and are exclusively open to the international trade audience.

An Italian sweets manufacturer receives the prize for the first time Luigi Zàini, CEO of the medium-sized Italian sweets company, Luigi Zàini S.p.A., is the winner of this year's ISM Award. The largest and most important trade fair for sweets and snacks worldwide is conferring this prize to the executive director of an Italian sweets company for his exceptional services to the sweets and snacks industry for the first time.

Exhibitors and industry sponsors are showing great commitment ISM and the co-located supplier fair ProSweets Cologne are under starter's orders and will open their doors on 30 January 2022. A few weeks before the opening of the fair, with current registration figures of around 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries, the leading trade fair for sweets and snacks is looking optimistically ahead to the upcoming 2022 event. With around 230 exhibitors, ProSweets Cologne also boasts a very good booking situation. In total, the trade fair duo will cover exhibition space spanning 139,000 square metres.
