September 03, 2026 – NEW YORK -- Gaming peripheral maker ATTACK SHARK will release its R86 HE Carbon Fiber Magnetic Switch Gaming Keyboard on September 7, 2026, an 82-key, 75% layout board aimed at competitive players who also want desktop-friendly proportions.
The R86 HE pairs a carbon fiber composite top case with anodized CNC aluminum alloy side accents, and its keycaps are also made from carbon fiber composite for a firmer, more consistent typing feel during fast gameplay.
Rapid Trigger tuning claims 0.005mm precision
The keyboard's Rapid Trigger system allows key reset and actuation control down to 0.005mm, intended to help players execute precise counter-strafes in FPS titles. A custom esports chipset adds 256K scanning and an 8000Hz polling rate, with response times as low as 0.08ms according to ATTACK SHARK.
Five-layer foam stack targets quieter keystrokes
To manage the acoustics often associated with magnetic switches, the R86 HE uses a five-layer sound-dampening structure: PE foam, IXPE switch pads, PET acoustic film, switch socket foam, and bottom silicone padding. A fiberglass positioning plate is meant to improve stability and feedback, and the board ships with custom Huano Glass Jade magnetic switches designed to combine speed with a distinct acoustic profile.
Layout keeps dedicated arrow keys despite compact footprint
The 75% layout retains dedicated arrow keys and core function keys while trimming the keyboard's overall footprint compared to full-size boards, a design choice aimed at both competitive gaming and daily productivity use.
Software unlocks per-switch curve tuning
Owners can independently tune actuation curves for supported magnetic switches through web-based or PC software, alongside key mapping controls. The board includes full-key RGB lighting plus dual-side dynamic light strips for additional visual customization.
