Berlin – September 08, 2026 -- DJI has launched the Osmo 360 II, a flagship 360° camera capable of shooting 8K video at 60fps with a new sensor built specifically for low-light performance.
A new sensor design boosts dynamic range to 14.5 stops
The camera uses what DJI calls the industry's first advanced 1-inch square HDR image sensor, which increases sensor utilization by 25% while keeping power consumption down. Combined with an updated AI SuperNight 2.0 low-light algorithm, the sensor is designed to produce clean, bright footage even at night. Large 2.4 μm pixels and a high-performance chip help keep fast-moving 8K/60fps footage free of motion blur.
The camera survives cold, water, and heavy use out of the box
Osmo 360 II is waterproof to 10 meters without any housing and can go down to 50 meters with the optional Invisible Waterproof Case. It operates in temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F), making it usable for skiing and other cold-weather activities. DJI also redesigned the lenses to be replaceable and coated them in an ultra-hard optical film to resist scratches; damaged lenses can be swapped out on the spot.
Creative modes include 120MP photos and 64x slow motion
The camera can capture 120MP HDR 360° photos, 16K 360° timelapses, and slow-motion footage up to 64x speed through AI frame interpolation in DJI Studio, equivalent to cropped 8K/480fps. An 8K/120fps "Vortex" mode turns a simple swing of the camera into a wraparound slow-motion shot. Every video format now supports 10-bit color with the D-Log M color profile.
Battery life stretches to 100 minutes at 8K/30fps
The 183g camera includes 105GB of built-in storage and a battery that records continuously for 100 minutes at 8K/30fps, fast-charging to 80% in 22 minutes. An optional Battery Extension Rod adds up to 180 minutes of additional runtime. A new Spotlight Follow feature keeps a subject centered in frame automatically, and a built-in NFC area lets users tap to connect with the DJI Mimo app for instant file transfer or editing.
The camera pairs directly with DJI's microphone lineup
A built-in four-mic array with wind noise reduction handles onboard audio, and the camera connects directly to DJI Mic 3, DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic Mini 2S, DJI Mic Mini 2, and DJI Mic Mini via DJI OsmoAudio. A magnetic dual-direction quick-release mount and standard 1/4′′ thread let it attach to existing DJI Osmo accessories and third-party camera gear.
DJI is showing the camera publicly for the first time at IFA 2026
DJI is debuting the Osmo 360 II at IFA 2026 in Berlin, running September 4 through 8 at Booth H20-129 in Hall 20. DJI Care Refresh protection plans are also available for the camera, covering accidental damage, collisions, and water damage, with 1-year plans covering up to two replacements and 2-year plans covering up to four.
