GIGABYTE's AORUS INFINITY Hardware Draws Crowds at Gamescom 2026

TAIPEI -- September 01, 2026 -- GIGABYTE closed out Gamescom 2026 by putting its newest AORUS INFINITY gaming hardware directly into players' hands, from a motherboard built with 3D metal-printing techniques to OLED monitors with 0.03ms response times. The Taiwan-based computer maker reported strong gamer engagement across desktop builds, AI-equipped laptops, monitors and peripherals at its booth during the annual gaming convention. GIGABYTE shared the recap on August 31, 2026, as part of its ongoing 40th anniversary celebrations.

Aerospace Engineering Meets a Built-In Display

The centerpiece of the booth was the AORUS INFINITY Series, built around the X870E AORUS INFINITY NEXT motherboard. GIGABYTE said the board combines aerospace-inspired engineering with advanced power and thermal design, including 3D metal-printing technology. Paired with AORUS GeForce RTX 50 Series INFINITY graphics cards running the WINDFORCE HYPERBURST cooling system, the setup held steady performance during extended gameplay. The AORUS C510 GLASS INFINITY chassis rounded out the build with an integrated 16-inch display and flexible placement, turning the case itself into part of the visual experience.

AI Agent Shifts Power Between Laptop and External GPU

Visitors also got hands-on time with the AORUS MASTER 16 GEN 2 AI gaming laptop and the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX. GIGABYTE's GiMATE AI agent gave players real-time control over system performance, while a GPU Selector feature let them route graphics workloads between the laptop's internal chip and the external AI BOX depending on the game. The AORUS MASTER 16 GEN 2 earned a CHIP Highlight award at Gamescom 2026 for its gaming performance, intelligent optimization, and thermal design.

OLED Monitors Cut Response Times to 0.03 Milliseconds

Two AORUS OLED gaming monitors, the FO27Q28G and FO27Q24G, became a repeat stop for attendees testing fast-paced titles. Both use QHD WOLED panels with refresh rates up to 280Hz and 0.03ms response times, paired with GIGABYTE Tactical Features built for competitive play. The combination of deep contrast and near-instant motion response gave players a clearer view of on-screen action during rapid gameplay sequences.

Cableless Builds Add Personal Style to the Setup

Beyond raw performance, GIGABYTE showed off STEALTH cableless builds and its WOOD Series, both aimed at gamers who want a cleaner desk without sacrificing personality. The showcase arrived as GIGABYTE marks 40 years in the PC hardware business, with the AORUS INFINITY lineup framed as the latest step in that history at Gamescom.
