Hisense Adds Cyan to RGB MiniLED TVs and Expands to 55–100 Inches

Las Vegas – October 12, 2026 -- Hisense is bringing RGB MiniLED TV technology to a much wider range of screen sizes in 2026, from 55 to 100 inches, while launching a four-color flagship, the 116UXS, at CES 2026.

The 116UXS adds cyan to the RGB mix

The flagship 116UXS uses a new backlight system called RGB MiniLED evo. It is a four-primary design that adds cyan to the existing red, green and blue structure.

Hisense says cyan sits in the part of the spectrum where human vision is most sensitive to subtle changes. According to the company, that lets the TV render gradients and transitions more naturally, with smoother shadow detail and clear bright content in everyday viewing, not just in dramatic HDR moments.

The Hi-View AI Engine RGB manages tens of thousands of color dimming zones and delivers up to 110% of BT.2020 color coverage. The TV has a nearly bezel-free design and a 1.57-inch profile. Sound comes from a Devialet Opéra de Paris 6.2.2 audio system.

UR9 and UR8 bring RGB to more screen sizes

The new UR9 and UR8 Series are the second generation of the RGB architecture Hisense introduced in 2025. They are the first time the company has expanded RGB into a broader MiniLED lineup, spanning 55 to 100 inches and more price points. The source gives no pricing or release dates.

Hisense says both series deliver a wider color range, richer saturation and more accurate tonal reproduction than standard premium TVs. The company says they are built to keep color intact in bright rooms and stay stable during fast-paced sports, films and gaming. Both series pair with Devialet-tuned audio systems.

Hisense says it was the first TV maker to bring true RGB Local Dimming technology to market in 2025.

"Accelerated innovation is a hallmark of Hisense," said Ondre Clarke, Head of TV Product Marketing at Hisense USA, adding that the company wants to scale new technologies sooner and make them accessible to more homes.
