Hisense Adds Yellow to MicroLED With Its 163MX Display

Las Vegas – October 12, 2026 -- Hisense is showing the 163MX RGBY MicroLED Display at CES 2026, an ultra-large screen that adds a fourth, yellow sub-pixel to the usual red-green-blue design. The display has won a CES 2026 Innovation Award for that four-primary architecture.

A yellow sub-pixel fills the 500-600nm gap

Hisense says conventional MicroLED displays fall short in the 500-600nm spectral range, which can mute the intended look of content. The 163MX adds yellow to cover that range, which the company says delivers color expression no MicroLED has achieved before.

33.17 million subpixels reach up to 100% of BT.2020

Hisense uses advanced color management to balance luminance and chromatic uniformity across all 33.17 million subpixels. The display can cover up to 100% of the BT.2020 color space, which Hisense calls a new benchmark for spectral range and accuracy in true MicroLED technology.

The screen is 32mm thin and mounts flush to the wall

Despite its size, the 163MX has a minimalist design with an ultra-slim 32mm profile. A precision zero-gap wall mount is meant to let it blend into architectural spaces while keeping a cinematic presence.

Hisense is also calling the 163MX a CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award winner, citing its work in expanding the color spectrum through RGBY MicroLED.

Visitors can see it at the Las Vegas Convention Center

The RGBY MicroLED TV and Hisense's wider lineup of multi-primary products are on show January 6-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Hall, Booth 17704. The source gives no price or release date for the 163MX.
