Berlin – September 08, 2026 -- Hisense used IFA 2026 to unveil its 116UXS RGB MiniLED TV in Europe, a flagship display reaching 10,000 nits of peak brightness and 110% of the BT.2020 color space, alongside a wave of eye-comfort certifications across its TV and laser projector lineup.
The Hisense Soundbar UX1 won an IFA Innovation Award, while the 116UXS TV, UR8 TV, REGZA RGB Mini LED TV ZX Series and Laser Projector XR10 were named Honorees in the same competition.
The 116UXS adds a fourth color channel to boost accuracy
The 116UXS uses Chromagic 2.0 Technology, adding a dedicated cyan light source to the standard red, green and blue backlight. Combined with the Hi-View AI Engine RGB and an Obsidian Panel, the set has earned both Pantone Validated RGB MiniLED and Pantone Color certifications for its color performance.
TÜV Rheinland certifies eye comfort across the entire RGB MiniLED range
The 116UXS received TÜV Rheinland's Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution) certification, allowing extended viewing without sacrificing picture quality. Hisense extended TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification to its full 2026 RGB MiniLED lineup, including the UR9S and UR8S models, rather than limiting the feature to its flagship set. Sonny Ming, General Manager of TV Product Marketing at Hisense Global Commercial Center, said the certification objectively validates that Hisense RGB MiniLED TVs deliver a more comfortable viewing experience.
Hisense's laser products received the same treatment: the Laser Projector XR10, Laser Cinema PX4 Pro and Laser TV L9Q Pro all hold TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification.
A new LCD architecture ditches color filters entirely
Hisense also unveiled Field Sequential Display (FSD) technology, a world-first LCD architecture that presents red, green and blue image components sequentially in the time domain instead of using color filters. The company says this approach delivers higher brightness, purer colors, greater energy efficiency and refresh rates up to 360Hz compared with conventional LCD panels.
Audio lineup pairs a multichannel soundbar with 5.5-gram earbuds
The award-winning UX1 soundbar features 11.2.6-channel sound with Dolby Atmos and DTS support, plus Hi-Concerto integration with select Hisense TVs. The new HiClips open-ear true wireless earbuds weigh 5.5 grams per earbud and use a flexible design intended for all-day wear.
