Berlin – September 09, 2026 -- Hisense used IFA 2026 to showcase new display, laser and audio technology under the theme "Innovating a Brighter Life," pairing brighter picture quality with eye-comfort certifications across its lineup.
The company picked up multiple honors at the IFA Innovation Awards: the Hisense UX1 soundbar won its category, while the 116UXS MiniLED TV, the UR8 TV, the REGZA RGB Mini LED ZX series and the XR10 laser projector were named Honorees.
The 116UXS debuts RGB MiniLED with a cyan backlight channel
Making its European debut, the Hisense 116UXS introduces a new generation of RGB MiniLED powered by Chromagic 2.0 technology. Its four-color backlight adds a dedicated cyan light source alongside red, green and blue, reaching 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut. The set has earned Pantone Validated RGB MiniLED and Pantone Color certification, and combines a peak brightness of 10,000 nits, the Hi-View AI Engine RGB processor and an Obsidian Panel for improved color accuracy, contrast and depth.
TÜV Rheinland certifies low blue light across the RGB MiniLED range
The 116UXS received TÜV Rheinland's Low Blue Light hardware certification, and the entire 2026 RGB MiniLED lineup -- including the UR9S and UR8S models -- has now earned TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification. Hisense and TÜV Rheinland marked the certifications at a joint IFA event attended by Henk Pieters, senior vice president of global sales, marketing and communication for TÜV Rheinland's Business Stream Products division, and Sonny Ming, general manager of TV product marketing at Hisense Global Commercial Center. Ming said the certification objectively confirms that Hisense's RGB MiniLED TVs deliver a more comfortable viewing experience, and that the company will keep advancing display innovation to combine vivid color with visual comfort.
Laser projectors and a new LCD architecture join the comfort push
The XR10 laser projector, the Laser Cinema PX4 Pro and the Laser TV L9Q Pro have also received TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification, alongside the C3 series and other models expanding Hisense's large-screen entertainment lineup. Separately, Hisense unveiled Field Sequential Display (FSD) technology, described as a world first: an LCD architecture that removes color filters by displaying red, green and blue image components sequentially in the time domain, resulting in higher brightness, purer colors, better energy efficiency and refresh rates up to 360Hz compared with conventional LCD screens.
Audio lineup adds an 11.2.6-channel soundbar and 5.5g earbuds
The UX1 soundbar combines 11.2.6-channel sound with Dolby Atmos and DTS support and Hi-Concerto integration with select Hisense TVs. Hisense also introduced the HiClips, open-ear true wireless earbuds weighing 5.5 grams each with a flexible design intended for all-day comfort.
