Berlin – September 09, 2026 -- Hisense used IFA 2026 to unveil a lineup of TVs, projectors and audio gear built around brighter colors and reduced eye strain, headlined by the European debut of its 116UXS Mini-LED television.
The Hisense Soundbar UX1 wins an IFA Innovation Award
The UX1 took top honors at the IFA Innovation Awards, while the 116UXS Mini-LED TV, the UR8 TV, the REGZA RGB-Mini-LED ZX-series TVs and the XR1 laser projector were named honorees.
The 116UXS reaches 110% of the BT.2020 color space
Built on Chromagic 2.0 technology, the 116UXS adds a dedicated cyan light source to its red, green and blue backlight, pushing color coverage to 110% of BT.2020. The set has earned both "Pantone Validated RGB MiniLED" and "Pantone Color" certification. It pairs peak brightness of 10,000 nits with the Hi-View AI Engine RGB and an Obsidian panel for what Hisense describes as improved color accuracy, contrast and depth.
TÜV Rheinland certifies the flagship TV for low blue light
The 116UXS received TÜV Rheinland's "Low Blue Light" hardware certification, aimed at reducing eye fatigue during extended viewing without sacrificing picture quality. The entire 2026 RGB-MiniLED lineup, including the UR9S and UR8S, has now earned TÜV Rheinland's "Eye Comfort" certification, extending the feature beyond the flagship model to the full product range.
Henk Pieters, Senior Vice President for Global Sales, Marketing & Communication at TÜV Rheinland Group's Business Stream Products, and Sonny Ming, General Manager for TV Product Marketing at Hisense Global Commercial Center, marked the certifications at a joint IFA event. Ming said the TÜV Rheinland certification objectively confirms that Hisense's RGB-MiniLED TVs deliver a more comfortable viewing experience, and that Hisense will continue pushing display innovation to combine vivid color with better eye comfort.
Laser projectors also gain eye-comfort certification
The XR10 laser projector, the PX4 Pro laser cinema system and the L9Q Pro laser TV have all received TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification, while the C3 series expands Hisense's large-screen laser entertainment lineup.
A new field-sequential display skips color filters entirely
Hisense showcased what it calls the world's first Field-Sequential Display (FSD) technology, an LCD architecture that renders red, green and blue image components sequentially in time rather than through color filters. The company says this approach delivers higher brightness, purer colors, greater energy efficiency and refresh rates up to 360 Hz compared with conventional LCD panels.
The HiClips earbuds weigh just 5.5 grams each
On the audio side, the UX1 soundbar combines 11.2.6-channel sound with Dolby Atmos, DTS and Hi-Concerto integration for pairing with select Hisense TVs. The open-ear HiClips true wireless earbuds weigh 5.5 grams per earpiece, with a flexible design intended for all-day wear.
